Another New Signing

Des Boateng signed last night from Tooting & Mitcham. You may remember Des appearing for Welling against us in the FA Cup ties last season, and scoring in the final minute of the replay. Des also represented the English National Game XI whilst at Carshalton.

Welcome to the madhouse, Des!

Superb signing! Found some early bio stuff ...

Des signed for St Leonards in October 2000 from Ryman League side Walton & Hersham before switching to Carshalton Athletic exactly two years later. His impressive midfield work rate and goalscoring ability quickly made him a popular member of the side both with team-mates and supporters. He has also previously played for Egham Town, Crawley Town, Yeading and Woking and a brief onloan spell with Met Police season 02/03.

This is all I can find so far - if anyone from Tooting or Welling reads this - neither appear to have their own forum - can they let me know if they have any stats whilst Des was at either of those clubs?

Des Boateng – forward – Des has played for Egham Town, Crawley Town, Yeading, Woking, and Walton & Hersham. He signed for St Leonards in October 2000, and had a brief spell on loan with Metropolitan Police in 2002/03, before moving to Carshalton Athletic in October 2002. Whilst there he played for the England National Game XI. Joined Welling Utd and then moved to Tooting & Mitcham for 2007/08. Singed for Hornchurch November 2007.
