Visiting Stonebridge Road for the first time...

Recommended Posts

A small group of us will be attending the Histon next Monday night, which is our first visit to an Ebbsfleet game.

Can anyone recommend a good pub where we can all meet before the game, which might also serve some pub grub. We are a mix of fans but all live within Kent and looking forward to a good night of enjoyable football.

Also, any recommendation of a good curry house for after the game?

Curry houses: Cafe Taj in Gravesend, and the owner is a good sponsor of the Fleet.

Pubs: The Plough is right outside the ground for a drink or two, but spend the cash in the club bar instead I'd say!

Eating-wise, Wetherspoon's in town is cheap and you've got The Pembroke as well for pub meals, also in Gravesend town centre. Not sure what's worth going to food-wise in Northfleet other than Euro-Kebab... grin

Caesers in town centre opposite Pembroke for excellent Italian

Mexican at top of town

Pembroke for good 241 deals on pub grub

Wing Lee for excellent Chinese

Curry!! well this is Gravesend speciality

Cafe Taj - best in town

Tufail - pricey but good

Curry Mecca - superb but very small - book early!

Ghandi - out of town but worth a shout!

enjoy!!!

Sorry Digitalis, but do you honestly expect me to recommend that they eat in our ground?

I can testify that a Fleet gristleburger tastes far better for having been dropped on the ground!!

On the basis of the equivalent fixture last year, this may not be the best match to choose.

Oh come on jc, we should do them this season.

It could be worse, they might have pencilled in Rushden at home for their first taste of total football.
