Its better than it has been in the past. It is green with mainly grass not mainly weeds, but it is very uneven and the odd hole to trip in.

They have stopped training on it and the kids do not train on there anymore either. The pitch has also been fenced in to stop the kids getting on it during the day.

There is no covered area for the time being either, as someone took a machette to the central pillar that held the roof and made it dangerous.

If they can get some work done on it next summer (as this year was a last minute thing) there there is a chance it will become a reasonable surface.

WHAT !!!!!! the place is a footballing mecca TC think you've got mixed up :icon29:

Your right Teffs, only ever been there at the beginning of the season when it is like concrete, so don't know what it is like when the winter months are in season. :rain:

Fortunately, I have not had the privilage of breaking my hips on the hallowed turf, only walking across it.

Frimley's is always shocking and firm no matter what time of year! Bedfont's is okish but starting to cut up and get squishy as Krooner will tell you from last weekends close game between us and Mole Valley

Seeing as how you're all talking of the hallowed turf of Meadowbank, as of 10 am this morning, tonights match against Molesey was ON.

However, as the weather has got even worse, who knows ?

It might come down to the Referee when he arrives this evening. I'm HOPING to go down and have a look this afternoon. J.R.
