And Camberley will win the CCL Prem....Catch them if u can....who remembers that saying from last year then......

I remember it. The difference is, we're not as smug or stuck up our own arses as some teams so we don't go on about being top of the table and daring everyone to catch us. We're aware that we're not going to win every game and NGU, Cherstey and maybe even Badshot Lea could still have a say on who's gonna win the division this season.

vptc Camberley are pants ,badshot lea are different class,if I wanted to go to sleep,I would watch Camberley, rather than take Prozac.

I wouldn't say they're pants because they have the points in the bag,but b.lea do have the class and show a little more professionalism but as I've said before there ground is a cup final to most teams & camberley no how to play on there pitch.I spoke to egham pie man he said molesey should have been 3 or4 up at ht 2 nd half was all egham and moles Gk pulled off a top draw double save to keep it 1-0.I was surprised at the ngu result thought they might have done better than that, or were they unlucky????how's the cove pitch situation???what's the game of the week as I was xmas shopping yesterday,it gives me a pass to watch spurs today.finally well done Epsom and chertsey.

I think you will find that quote was used by one person, and a supporter at that, as a bit of banter to provoke exactly this sort of response so congrats on being landed, albeit nearly a season late. Weeble will be chuffed to bits :)

Never thought I would say it but...c'mon Chertski!!!

Ha Ha you don't mean that now Green Pea. He is a mere pup and was landed by an experienced pro :) Always good to get a nibble from VP.

How you keeping. I have almost missed you this season :)

he he, you're probably right Kroons ;)

I'm keeping well thanks, enjoying the new league and all of the new places to visit, believe it or not the travelling isn't half as bad as some make out and always worth it when you pick up a win like yesterday at 3rd place and FA Cup 1st Round club Paulton Rovers. I hope that doesn't make my team sound smug, or up their own arses though :) I should probably stop now...

Anyway, all the best to all of the CCL teams, I share a view on here that Badshot Lea may have a big say in the title this season.

Wellington AFC 2 Epsom and Ewell 3 (after extra time)

We progress to the last 32 after as pulsating and dramatic cup tie as you could wish to see . Firstly great credit to our hosts Wellington who were great people and worked very hard to make sure the tie went ahead and avoided the travel nightmares I had been dreading . Also credit to the match officials who got the game through to the end of extra time and had good games in drenched conditions.

Again the story was of how we made life difficult for ourselves when it should have been comfortable and just about got away with it. The dominant side in the first half we were 2-0 up which could and should have been more but we were ahead through a Kyle Hough penalty and Robbie Burns .The 5 mins before 1/2 time we let in a goal to a rare Wellington attack and give them hope at 2-1 .

They then pressed us back in the second half as we appeared to tire in the heavy conditions with 15 left they equalised we were beginning to get worried . When we gave away a penalty in the last minute of injury time we began to curse our teams ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Paul Borg redeemed his part in the penalty given away with a stunning save.

This completely swung the momentum and we dominated again in extra time.. had a goal disallowed , they hit the bar , we had chances galore when approx 5 mins from the end Hough was scythed down , possibly a little outside the box and he kept his cool through 3 mins of measuring out where the penalty spot may have been in the mud to rifle his second spot kick of the game . He surely has to travel in Capello's squad to South Africa as a specialist penalty taking substitute .

What a game ! A big heartfelt thank you to all our players who ran themselves into the ground for 2 hours in difficult conditions . Three 3-2 wins in difficult weather conditions in this run so far . What will the next round bring ? I hope not Chertsey at Merland Rise as we both deserve a more interesting tie than that .

Sadly for me I was at Croydon v Colliers Wood, missed the 11 goal thriller at Cobham that was witnessed by Jurgs,Teflon. The game ended 1-1,After a great first half strike by Tim Murdoch from 25 yds put Croydon 1-0 up at half time,In the 2nd Half Colliers Wood were different gravy,A fluent passing game put Croydon on the rack, and just rewards came from a corner for Colliers to tie the game up 1-1.I being a person who will do most things for anyone, was kitman for the day for Croydon, checking the kit ,water bottles etc.But if you go on Facebbok, you will see that me PETER EATONS best mate is IMNO MUG,and after moving 15 tables for an evening function to take place, with a lot of piss taking from the Croydon HEIRACHY,WHO THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY,I hereby resign.Maybe this could be my last post, but before I go MR.ROWBOTHAM AND HIS 2 ASSISTANTS WERE THE BEST I HAVE SEEN THIS SEASON BY A MILE.

I know the feeling BT/Smudge, sadly for many teams it's only a few who do the work !!!! and many who promise but give nothing.

Hope you don't disappear from here as you have raised some interesting topics amd good banter.

I know the ref and have to agree I think he's a good young referee as well

Yep, got planning permission so all we need is a few bob to fund it!

Has been a bit of a struggle with many of last season's squad still playing, but had one of those special days yesterday when having been under the cosh for the second half, nicked an injury time winner to beat East Thurrock 3-2, which was a Brucie bonus. Just seven more wins needed now for safety!

Scroll through to 2mins 50 secs and you would have thought we had won the World Cup!!

Non League Nigel and Green Pea. To answer your question regarding Badshot lea reserves. Last year's manager who steered the team to Runners Up in the Combined Counties Reserve League left at the beginning of this season and joined Tongham as 1st Team manager. He took his assistant and probably worse every single player except one went with them. We appointed a new manager who started the season but we had a lack of players so a change was made but in recent weeks they have struggled for the numbers. A decision was taken, and not lightly i might add, to resign from the league.

There seems to be a lot of mention about Badshot Lea on this forum regarding the league. All i would say is there is a hell of a lot football still to be played and for people to start talking about certain clubs winning the league is dangerous. IMHO i think anyone from Camberley, NGU, Chertsey, Chessington with Badshot Lea and Ash also in the running

BT, I've missing something here. What are you resigning from?

9 draws from 18 league games for the Trams now - developing a bit of a Man City reputation here! Need to hold onto some of these hard-earned leads.

Good to see that, following the mass defection to Lingfield in the summer, a number of the old regulars have gradually returned to life with the Trams, Tim Murdoch, Ollie Youg, and now Bronek Dabrowa's back as well :)

HI ALL, WENT TO WATCH THE TOP 2 CCL TEAMS ON SATURDAY. CAMBERLEY MUST HAVE SIGHED A RELIEF WHEN THEY SAW THE NGU TEAMSHEET AND NOTICED THAT THEIR AND CCL LEAGUE TOP SCORER DAVE LAWRENCE WASN'T PLAYING.

BOTH SIDES STARTED LIVELY, BUT AFTER 10 MINS THE SMALL CAMBERLEY FORWARD'S STRIKE WAS SAVED BUT ANOTHER PLAYER FOLLOWED-UP TO MAKE IT 1-0 TO CAMBERLEY. THE LIVELY CAMBERLEY WINGER GREEN CAUSED A FEW PROBLEMS FROM THE DANGEROUS DIAGONAL BALLS WHICH NGU SEEMED TO STRUGGLE TO HANDLE AS CAMBERLEY BEGAN TO TAKE CONTROL AND PRESSURISED THE NGU DEFENCE, WHO HAD THEIR SCARY MOMENTS BUT HELD OUT, THEN NGU HIT THE POST JUST BEFORE HALF TIME. NGU CAME OUT WITH MORE ENERGY BUT ON THE HOUR THE ABOVE WINGER GREEN (I THINK) SCORED CAMBERLEYS 2ND AND THAT WAS THAT ONLY FOR A LITTLE FLURRY TOWARDS THE END BY NGU BUT AT NO AVAIL. NOT A BAD MATCH, I DID EXPECT THE GAME TO BE MORE INTENSE ESPECIALLY WHAT WAS A STAKE,BUT CAMBERLEY WILL BE PLEASED OBVIOUSLY TO CREEP AWAY IN THE LEAGUE AND NGU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED MORE SO WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE.

NOT MUCH BETWEEN THE 2 TEAMS SO THESE TEAMS WILL BE THERE CHALLENGING FOR THE CCL TITLE COME THE END OF THE SEASON. SO WHERE TO NEXT ?

Teffs, I'm glad we provided you with an entertaining game even if you didn't pay to get in you tight kent

Have to say it was a good game for the neutral to watch, but the defending at times was poor from both sides - the first time we have been like this season - and hopefully some lessons learned by some players in our team.......I for one wasn't happy despite the 3 points and would rather have had a good defensive display and won.

Anyway we are up to second atm, so can't grumle too much and hope we keep in going over a very hard next few months of fixtures.

What happened to HW over the w/e? Brunty and the Hare have been very quiet :ignore: !

Ngu keeper IMHO not strong enough all round his kicking is eratic, doesn't deal with shots properly(either hold it or get it away!) and he struggles on x's

Jurgs HH wasn't there on Saturday so thats probably why he hasn't commented. As I was away for the farleigh game last week and the good win I had to settle for a place on the bench along side the likes of ray spence and reville roach. We were well and truly beaten no complaints SL have no inderviduals as such just all worked hard and worked for each other. Will hopefully be back in on Tuesday for our away tie at Alton.

Fair play mate and nice to see an honest assessment. Was surprised to see the score tbh. We have SL this w/e and know we will be in for a tough game after a 3-3 draw early in the season.

Also good to see that you have to go on the bench and work your way back into the side....somthing that doesn't always happen at clubs.
