Bookham 2-0 RPV

6 points in last 2 games, is the great escape going to happen !!!! :discobanana:

A fair result in the end.

RPV couldn't capitalise on their fast breaks forward, and Bookham owe their win completely to a certain Mr Jarman, who was, imho, awesome. He nearly got a hat-trick with a spectacular over-head scissor-kick, which hit the bar.

Another defeat for Wood but a spirited showing underlined that they are up for this relegation fight.

The first half, which was fairly even, came to life in a controversial 60 seconds when the referee played an advantage to Wood following a blatant trip in the area. The "advantage" came to nothing and Ash broke and Lewis Parish (41 mins) headed home despite a clear push in the back on Costelloe in the build up.

Ash looked much sharper in the second half and Parish punished some sloppy defending on 61 minutes before Marcus Cousins scored a spectacular third on 72 minutes. Wood shuffled the pack and their endeavour was rewarded on 85 and 88 minutes when Stefan Joseph (on loan from Sutton United) scored two fine goals and he really should have completed a quickfire hat-trick soon after. Ash just about held out under solid leadership from Scott Cannie while Wood keeper, Nick Peters didn't have a real shot to save yet conceded three goals!

As for the refereeing........................................ :smashfreakb:

Have to agree with most off that Chris. If the trip was outside the area, the referee would have allowed advantage but if nothing came off it would go back for the foul, so why is it different inside the box. Think with the first goal you had too many players switch off when we too a quick freekick ourselves. The pitch didnt help us at all in the first half & thought to myself we would do better shooting up hill as the pitch was better in that half. Have to say why wasn't the forward playing from the start, looked a real handful which we at times couldnt deal with. A where did we find all the injury time yesterday, thought he was never going to blow for full time

.Adam Rea and Wes Hinds both grabbed a brace. Rea's pace was a constantant threat up top. Need to carry our cup form into the league..

CHEERS MOORESY, SEE YOU SCORED AGAINST FELTHAM THE OTHER WEEK.

I THOUGHT ADAM REA WAS A MIDFIELDER NOT STRIKER ALTHOUGH I SEE HE'S YOUR TOP GOALSCORER ? DID TALL ADRIAN ANDERSON PLAY YESTERDAY?

South Park 3-0 Sheerwater

Not a great performance but 3 points and a clean sheet, weakest Sheerwater side i've seen since joining the CCL. Three tough games up next starting Tuesday at Farnham, Worcester Park (A) then Staines Lammas (H).

Bedfont Sports 1 - 2 MV SCR

Bit of a messy game, pitch didnt help sure with all the millions invested they couldve brought a roller or sumthin. We started off quite comfortable, always looked a threat going forward. Bedfont S shouldve been given a penalty early in the 1st, ref thought otherwise. Jay Holden grabbed a goal 1st half then Pagey made it 2-0 in the 2nd. Bedfont then pulled 1 back with a 20yd strike. Impressed with their no.11 who caused us a few problems and their no.2 (RB). They had a few more good chances but couldnt beat Bowden who has saved us on a few occasions this season. Not a convincing win but a win nonetheless. Worcester Park in the semis, hope im back by then.

Stefan has found it a little different from Suburban Premier football but he did much better on Saturday.

The pitch is improving though hardly ideal and the injury time may have been a sympathy thing from the ref?

Number 10, Jonny Humphries, is on loan from Sutton as well.

Our two midweek games v Banstead and RPV may well define our season! :492:

Eversley F.C. 1 - 4 Croydon Municipal F.C

Great win for the boys, and nice to make a cup final at the first attempt. After a really sloppy start we went 1-0 and was lucky not to be 2 or 3. Was awarded a pen half hour in, thought the keeper was lucky to stay on the field. Really pushed on in the second half added another 3 goals. think the better team won on the day, but credit to eversley battled all the way to the final whistle. Thought the ref had a good game always looking to play the advantage, one of the better officals we've had this season. Playing surface was top notch, really good set up down there

Hi Mooresy,

Thought your side played well on Saturday and the pace up front will cause problems for a lot of teams this season.

As I said on Saturday, hope your lads go on and win the final now.

Good to see a team enjoying a few beers after the game in our clubhouse as well.
