Rhodes
I see that the SPL want further sanctions and, incredibly, a share of Rangers Division Three media rights, they also want the Club to give up their tv rights and, if that's not enough, are threatening 'title stripping', disgusting!: http://www.bbc.co.uk/.../0/football/18941515 http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/18929983

The Mayor Of Simpleton
I feel sorry for Ally McCoist, the players and the fans - they seem to have been forgotten in all of this. Craig Whyte should be forced to explain his actions to the Rangers fans - they're the ones who've suffered the most. It can't be easy being a 'Gers fan in Glasgow nor anywhere else at this time. I've got a feeling that, like The Mousetrap, this ordeal will run and run. The SFA need to watch themselves that Rangers, in the future, don't stick two fingers up at them and decide to enter The Championship or League 1! Don't say it could never happen, people said that Rangers would always be a big club....
Rhodes
I see that Rangers had their first taste of life in the third tier of Scottish football yesterday and comfortably beat minnows Brechin City at tiny Glebe Park in a Ramsdens Scottish League Cup 1st Round tie, talk about starting how they mean to go on! How can you say comfortably, it went to extra time and was only 2-1.
Rhodes
I wasn’t aware that the game went into extra time, anyway it was a lot more comfortable than the scoreline would suggest and Brechin treated it like a Scottish Cup Final in front of a full house at Glebe Park paying record receipts

Were you there then? What was it like? Edited July 30, 2012 by Winslow Boy
Rhodes
Well like I said it was like the Battle of Isandlwana at Brechin on Saturday, a lot of 'Gers fans were interviewed at the game and every one said that they will be back in the SPL in three seasons guaranteed, you can't even bet on it as it's such a stone cold certainty. So you were there then? Or you've watched the game on tele in its entirety? You must have to be making such comments. I'm sure you wouldn't just make ill informed comments based on no actual first hand facts/knowledge would you?
Winslow Boy
Oh Rhodes you're not ignoring me are you mate? You' should be a politician the way you avoid questions and try and divert attention on to something else and constant comments based on no first hand knowledge or experience. Rhodes for Mayor he's got my vote for comedy value alone.

The Mayor Of Simpleton
I will bet good money that Rangers look to move into the English Football League very soon. Could be a vacancy for them if Portsmouth are wound-up...

sjj2112
38,160: Yes, frightening! Indeed - only 8000 down on last seasons average and 5000 less than last seasons worst attendance. Who said their fans would desert them...
Eastside Urchin
I dont think anyone who knows football thought that their fans wouldnt turn up. They may get a few lowish crowds around the 30'000 mark or below but on the whole i would expect them to average around 35'000 at least for the season

Rhodes
at least Rangers will be back in the SPL in three seasons, ie 2015/2016 Many congratulations to Rangers who clinched the Division 3 championship today, albeit a lot later in the season than was expected, just two seasons to go and they'll thankfully be back in the SPL!
