Budweiser Club Futures is part of Budweiser’s commitment to promoting Responsible Drinking, and each successful club will be given additional funding to run a community based Responsible Drinking activity in their area. Example activities include the promotion of a Designated Driver, encouraging families to educate their children about alcohol responsibility through the Family Talk programme and Good Sport – a training programme in responsible bartending.

Designated Driver.........one who has drunk the least

Family Talk programme......when you have drunk so much and you can hardly stand make yourself sick and start again

try not to beat the wife up in public in a drunken rage - in some areas the other way round

Good Sport......short change drunken people at every opportunity and at the last bell shout 'we have had your money now feck off'

The grant is as good as in the bank!

Taken from the Uxbridge website, Hoddesden could learn a thing or two from the guy who wrote this...

Reds knocked out by Frederick's pile-driver!

By David Gill | Saturday 8th September 2012

Uxbridge let in two late goals as we were beaten by the odd goal in seven by Berkhamsted in the FA Cup at a roasting Honeycroft this afternoon.

Josh CHAMBERLAIN put the Spartan South Midlands outfit the lead on 11 minutes by sending a cross over John Peacock and into the far corner of the net.

Kev Warner's teasing cross found Kevin Marsh wanting in the Comrades goal, and Nicke Kabamba rose to head in soon after.

Peacock turned away Chamberlain's shot, while Matty Woods fired just over.

The next goal arrived on 35 minutes, as Chris Moore shot low past Marsh following good work by skipper Wayne Carter.

A quality piece of defending by Warner saw him thwart a almost certain goal

for Connor Calcutt by throwing himself to block with his feet.

Late on in the half Marsh saved well from Moore, as we went in at half-time with a slender advantage.

A good up and under into the visitors box by Warner, saw Kabamba put pressure on Marsh and the ball fell to Stu Farrell and he couldn't quite capitalise on it.

Then a deep cross by Daniel Griggs on the right for CHAMBERLAIN to net his second and bring his side all square in the 78th minute.

We got our noses back in front once more through substitute Shaun Lucien, when he drove home into the bottom corner, following Marsh's block from Matty Woods.

Woods tested Marsh with a goal bound cross, and Mark Dennison was unlucky to see his header hacked off the line by Bekim Culaj.

This proved to be decisive for Berkhamsted as they hit us with two quick goals at the death!

A minute before time Griggs was once again the architect for CALCUTT to side-foot home from close-in.

Just into time added on Jordan FREDERICK picked the ball up from about 25 yards out, before unleashing an unstoppable drive past Peacock to nick it right at the end!

Att:190.

MoM:Kevin Warner.

Team:Peacock, Lema, Warner, Fitzgerald, Dennison, Carter©, Julienne, Farrell, Woods, Moore, Kabamba.

Subs:Kanek, Lucien(for Kabamba 75 mins), Smith(for Farrell 69 mins).
