Velocity Trophy Semi Final Opponents

After our well deserved win against Burgess Hill on Tuesday evening, Town will host  Bishop's Stortford at the QE2 Stadium (date to be confirmed), after The Blues progressed with a penalty shoot-out win against Merstham last night.

This is the first time Town have reached the Semi Final stage in this competition and, hopefully, we can go on and win the Trophy and earn some more useful prize money. Definitely a match not to be missed. Let's see a big turnout to support our guys, and help them all-the-way to the Final.  COYT

Interesting to note that shortly before their quarter final match at Merstham,  Bishop's Stortford announced - via social media - the loan signings of goalkeeper Arthur Janata from Leyton Orient, and midfielder Ben Worman from Cambridge United.

Both players played the entire match, and Janata became an instant Blues hero, making two penalty shoot-out saves as Stortford progressed and booked a semi-final tie against Town at Donkey Lane.

Spot-on Lovely Stuff, your absolutely right, and a bit more news announced today on The Bostik Football League website,  Bishop's Stortford have  just completed the signing of AFC Hornchurch midfielder, and former Town player NATHAN LIVINGS, so they are certainly quite active in the transfer market at present.

No date yet announced for the Semi Final,  but we go to them early February for a league fixture, so we will find out how their new signings are settling in.
