Totally agree it is a palava, but without the necessary assessment and checks we won't be allowed to have fans back.

Contactless is an either/or.  Supporters can pay cash if they desire.

That’s a decent decision ??

Took us ages to convince the social club stalwarts to get a card machine, got to accept that younger generation want to be able to pay by card.

Old Bradwell United 5 Amersham Town 2

Commanding first half saw us go comfortably 4 goals up and cruising. Let Amersham get back into it and they got one back after an rare howler from Liam Jahn in goal.

very sloppy 2nd half after Amersham scored within 1 minute of the restart. It was a bit scrappy overall with Amersham having the better chances generally. We managed to get a goal in the last 15 to kill the game off.

Been playing well as we move on to a Tough week of games this week.  would be good to know when the season will start.

Additional Stotfold Fixtures

Patemondo - Are you involved at Roker Park, I believe you have been with quite a number of Club's, I see that Tuesday evening's friendly with Hitchin Town is all ticket, Stotfold's statement below isn't great is it and not very welcoming to fans:

https://hitchintownfc.club/stotfold-away-ticket-arrangements/

Stotfold have added the following information:
Unfortunately the CLUBHOUSE will not be open as we have not enough time to completely restructure our Waiter service and Covid protocols.

We hope to provide a soft drinks area but at this point we cannot guarantee that these protocols will be in place either as we are waiting for Perspex screens to be installed.

Anyone refusing to provide contact details will be refused entry.

Spectator entry will be not before 7pm and spectators will be required to work within the 2m distancing arrangements being made.

I feel really sorry for non league footy clubs Steps 1 to 6 as they have got really hammered in all of this where as some areas of life get a blind eye turned to it ? or not as much fuss is made.

#Nonleaguefootyclubshandsaretied?

One of the things that first attracted me to watch non league footy more than professional footy was the the relaxed attitude well that seems to be going super quick these days.

I sat in a park yesterday to watch a game of footy on my Oldmans deckchairs ? free entry ? no queues ? no temp checks ? no personal details given ? no fuss ??

Good luck to all Step 1 to 6 clubs as they are going to need it I fear.

Savagebee - I take your point but Stotfold's statement could have been made to sound a little more sympathetic and apologetic, the Club are not doing themselves any favours with such a cold and unwelcoming messege to fans, people who read it will just say 'I am not going to bother then' and even do a Harvey Smith in the direction of Roker Park.

Agree Rhodes and some people will do just that and I don't blame them. It's not for me and I just won't go to games where you have all that fuss going on. That's my choice.

But as I have already said the hands of non league footy clubs are tied very tightly now.

What else can non league footy clubs do but follow the new rules?

After all we don't live in a free world do we where you can do what you want ?

I gather that Old Bradwell United's trip to Flackwell Heath is postponed tomorrow evening and, instead, they travel to Horsenden Lane to meet Risborough Rangers. The Development side still entertain Newport Pagnell Town at Abbey Road as far as I'm aware:

Mursley United Development v Clapham Sports FC

Missing result from Saturday, Mursley United Development 6 Bedfordshire County League Division Three Clapham Sports FC 1. It will be interesting to see how Mursley United cope, as a Club, without their talisman Jamie Green who has gone to New Bradwell St Peter as Manager, Mursley United's huge loss is very much New Bradwell St Peter's gain however 'Jammers' will eventually come back to Station Road as he bleeds green and white.
