Team was A. Hall, Ridout, Snowden, G. Hall, Allen, Penn, R. Hall, Nyman, Brotherton, Pamplin, Finch. Campbell came on for Rids, Negus for Nyman and Smith for Finch. Unused were Gant and Baldwin.

Fairly quiet first half with the rain making it difficult. A bizarre moment early on when their keeper handled the ball a good five yards outside the box to the left after losing his bearings, but the referee seemed to be as bemused as we everyone else and let him get on with it.

The rain eased off second half and Town's fitness seemed to be better. The old corner routine worked as Allen headed in from the edge of the six yard box. The second goal was a lovely flick from Pamplin who up to then had been largely ineffective, but a great finish from the big fella. The third was a penalty from Rudi (excellent again) after Smithy had been unceremoniously taken out in the box. We had a couple of goals disallowed but the decisions seemed fair enough.

Overall a confident performance (especially second half) and yet another clean sheet. MOM was probably Rudi or Matty Negus although it was good to see Brotherton put in a competitive 90 minutes again.

With the score at 0 - 0, the opposition hit Andy's right hand post. I was the only person down at the Railway end and saw Andy touch the ball on to the post before it eventually went out for a corner off a defender. Credit where credit is due, Andy kept the scores level at that moment and nobody but myself knew the reason why. Well done Andy!

Is that well done to Andy for the save or yourself for seeing it?
