NEW MANAGER - PRESS RELEASE

Recommended Posts

Good appointment. Quality people with a good pedigaee.

Jimmy McFarlane was the best player at our place last year when we lost against 10 men on our 1st home game of the year....quality centre half.

Promotion is realistic with these people in charge.

This is none of my business but permit me to make a brief observation.

There will be rights and wrongs on both sides no doubt but what's done is done. The club have appointed a very experienced manager and team of Officials around him, and quite apart from his successes, Colin McBride demonstrated loyalty and service to his last club notching over 500 games in the dug-out after a playing career of 250 odd in their shirt. Three points every Saturday may be 'Plan A', but a period of stability is exactly what you lot need after the events of just a couple of remarkable seasons. Get behind the guy, and the entire administration of AFC Hornchurch and pull together.

I don't know much but I know that choosing not come to home games may give you momentary satisfaction, but it harms only one person.

Move on!

Good luck once again.

appreciate your comments,

in my last comment i stated lets hope we can keep him for longer than a year in the past 3 seasons i have been over there the manager as "resigned" there cant be something wrong with all of these managers!

Gary Hill excluded i guess as he was just money motivated! but you can still count borg, Choules and now J-Lo.

With respect, I believe Georg Borg left because he wanted to spend the summer coaching in the US when the club wanted him here to build a squad for the Conference South. As for Tony Choules, did you really expect a man of his talent to go from a Conference South manager to an Essex Senior League manager ??
