Barking & East Ham Utd

Well if you're coming from High Wycombe you have to go up Marlow Hill which is the steepest hill I have ever walked up/down, to get onto the main road, (Daws Hill Lane) into the area where their ground is.

If anyone has Google Earth or wants directions from High Wycombe train station to their ground just put in the post codes HP13 6NN for the station and HP10 9EA for the ground.

Here's a piccy of their ground...

Depends on what you define as walking distance.

It's just over three miles from the train station. It's an easy enough place to get to, but if you're walking, be prepared to tackle that bloody hill!

I'm hoping that, that away fixture will be during term time next season!

I will have to pay a couple of visits prior to us playing there to get a good look at the opposition!

I got lost going to a party at their clubhouse a couple of years ago. Everything around me was pitch black, (but I was going on the drunken memory of a pre-season friendly earlier in the season)

I would say ours and Hornchurch as probably the best grounds in the division. Not sure what Sudbury's is like now.

Just thought I'd question the sense of having Flackwell Heath play in a league that is mainly Essex/Herts/Suffolk with a few East London teams. Surely it would've made more sense promoting another ESL team, or a team from Herts.

Nothing against Flackwell, but surely that defeats the object of having the leagues locallised.

Yes this one baffled me last night Ribbit, I beleive its right round the other side of the M25 in Buckinghamshire, there must have been a more local club to us they could have re-juggled into the equasion, but what the hell, it will be a new ground for me and that is what makes next season so exciting !
