ETUFC v ETFC

Now that was a better performance.

ETFC 1 - 0 up 'til the last kick of the game when ETUFC scored with a shot from outside the box.

ETFC fans out numbered the home supporters by about 50 to 1.

Good to see Alan and Father Jack at the game, especially as they got stuck in Harlow!

I will leave the report to someone else.

Least said - leave other teams guessing - but to say I was delighted to see such a performance from a new Enfield Town team so early in our preparations would be an understatement. Top half finish has now becomes an expectation. Argentina played well in the early games of the World Cup and didn't win it but our boys have obviously been learning from the Argies with some quality play which for a large part of the match outplayed East Thurrock United.

You'll have to ask the Urchin scout there what he thought!

What a Hunt! Don't take any notice of the unimpressed comments about Dave Hunt from EFC's experience of the lad - form your own opinions on watching him play for us. I liked the whole look of the team today.

team (from memory) Bonfield, Campbell, Unmarked Van Basten, Tickler, Stevens, Magona, Hunt, Velandia, Nyman, Hammatt(Capt), Mackie. Second half was a lot of other top quality players including John Caicedo, Neal Hughes and the great Lionel Ritchie. Sorry midfield and defence I wasn't as close to you guys nor as clued up on recognition.

Well done keep it up!

Team was:

Bonfield, Campbell, Bastian, Tickner (subd), Stevens (subd), Magona (subd), Hunt, Velandia, Nyman (subd), Hammatt (subd), Mackie (subd).

Subs all made at h/t: Patrick, Harrison, Haughton, Hughes, Casido, Ritchie.

Dont know the attendence so if anyone can help here I'd be grateful.....

Jim

You had lots of fans there and East Thurrock had very few but i think 50-1 is a bit of an exageration. I saw maybe 100 enfield fans and im sure there were more than 2 rocks fans.

If you guys want to see pictures from todays match you can do so at http://www.flickr.com/photos/spennyj/sets/72157594208463583/ and www.photoboxgallery.com/footypics(you can buy prints and gifts at this site)

They are very biased towards east thurrock but I was being paid to cover the rocks so thats what i did... you guys were on top for much of the first half with the rocks coming back in the second 45 but you were very unlucky to conceed in the 90th, well played and good luck for the season ahead.

Having watched all three pre season games so far the improvement in the team is coming along nicely

got to say i was a little concerned after the tottenham game but we have to put things into prospective. when will Ricci Crace be fit to play?

Who will be taking the captains arm band? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bootyshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bootyshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bootyshake.gif" alt="" />
