I felt I should pass the following comments...

8 quid to get into aveley on bank holiday monday...?

piss take or what....?

9 quid all season to get into the champions elect ground at canvey...

piss take or what....?

checked out biggleswade united and nice new bar and changing rooms but s-hite pitch and 16 storm troopers to deal with on the day...very nippy forwards...

should we charge canvey 50 quid for entry into the league cup game at the bridge...?

should we charge aveley 500 quid each for entry for the home fixture at the bridge in the league.....

would it make any difference....

road to wembley....hmmm...

beat biggleswade and either thame/wembley/redbridge and its all ours on the telly.... :grin

I reckon you should organise half time entertainment featuring the officials at these clubs.

I dunno, put em in stocks and let the masses throw rotten fruit and beg and them.

Or how about put them in the middle of the pitch with a load of starved dogs and watch the rats run??!!

or we could....

boycott the games and send just daggsy 04 and urchins who will relay a live commentary back to the bridge clubhouse where entry will be free and beer will be a plenty...

I also understand that NO visiting supporters may have access to the canvey bar and that smoking is allowed in aveley but there's only one ash tray and drinking is available to all so long as you order carlsberg.........

any point in going...?

we should charge away fans the same as they charge us,they will soon put their prices down when we play them!
£9 at canvey is truly shocking IMO,surely the league should do something about that, you can watch a conf south game for that and some conference games!

anyway, who wants to sit at football??????

I'm afraid we need to charge that to break even. We could charge £6 but if the crowds don't come we are fcked and knowing how Canvey residents have voted with their feet in the past it's a risk not worth taking.

we all need to charge as much as we can to break even and indeed I have no doubt that our club will be approaching the Ryman League to see if we cannot charge the same when you visit us twice...common sense however has to prevail....you aint in the conference anymore mate...

from another parallex my guess is that at 6 quid you get 300 urchins...at 9 quid you get less than a hundred...

bar open and 6 quid equals circa 2 grand from us...

no bar and 9 quid equals circa 700 quid from us...

no brainer surely...

i hope so matt. otherwise the unc is right. i'll pretend to go to the game on boxing day and will avoid the family at the pub!

this 9 quid business will amuse esu though, since mob has promised to pay his entrance fee.

We've got two bars! If you're saying you're not allowed in the 'home' one then I'm sure you'll be designated the 'away' one.

really...a van at the end of the ground which also means segregation I assume....

come on matt...get real man ..this is ryman one and you are in great danger of blowing some serious money here...ask east thurrock about our boys when they feel ripped off...

as much as they loved vinny johns they boycotted his testimonial...

Basically we are skint and starting from scratch and need every penny we can get to survive, people will have to make their own choice as to wether they attend the games or not (obviously i hope they do) but i`d rather pay the extra at the gate so my club can survive rather than having to have bucket collections if we run out of money.

You can say that by lowering the price more people will attend but it has been proved in the past this is not always the case. If the games are entertaining people won`t worry about the cost, play poorly and people will moan about the cost.

surely the people who stayed away last time may have stayed away for a reason? has anyone done any research as to why? this 'break even' goal yellow mentioned. on what average gate is this measured against?

has anyone thought that the people of canvey island who may be tempted to support their local club now that it truly is their local club, in the hands of the local community, may be deterred by the entrance fee?

evreyone applauds the efforts of the canvey fans, and i can imagine the fans are spending more money at their club than they ever have...

but, does that mean away fans should too?

would you like us to?...
