Hx 0 Lewes 1

cup of tea

dont forget to mention the amount of times that the Lewes players constantly went down.

Espcially the ones that let our their pathetic little screams.

Just a shame that the ref and his sidekicks were wearing the orange Lewes shirt to match and constantly fell for their antics.

Totally ruined the game.

As for the sending off. i guess some would have given it, some wouldnt.

I like many others on the Eastside say our player got the ball without a doubt!

I believe that there was a fourth offical at the game. i do hope he took many notes of this pathetic-ness that we had to enjure tonight....

i wont hold to that!!

no wonder crowds are dropping of in non league football another night of having to put up  with a very poor ref  who let himself be conned all night  long  and a awful lewes  team  with no plan to play any football  after a fluke of a goal , the rest of the game they spent time wasting, and screaming every time they dived theres  getting far too much of this in non league nowadays used to be the other way  but im now enjoying league football more because there is less of the above .... the injured player  first had a neck injury  then a back  only to  end up  with a injured leg  strange how the ref only added on 5 mins of extra time after that delay  and constant delays for every throw in and goal kicks  the lewes  keeper should have got a yellow card for it as early as the first half .. it should have been  more like 15 .....to be honest  we should have still won the game we were all over them and they never threatened  the hornchurch goal again , hoping that we turn it around saturday  and as for lewes  they deserve to go down after that display  and well done to george  he never stopped running last night and was everywhere and thast what we need from all the team to stay up this season

Wasn't going to add to what I said but I lied!

Their player wasn't moving so fair enough, especially if he was stretchered off.

There was an awful lot of time wasting, an awful lot of fouling that their defenders were cleverly doing behind the Ref's back (there was one time where their defender had virtually leapfrogged on top of our player right in front of the ref who (not unsurprisingly) gave nothing for, an awful lot of squealing on the floor.

Did Sam actually have a save to make after the goal? Can't remember them having a clear shot on goal after that. Only credit I can give to Lewes is that they did put a lot of effort in and closed down well but that's about it - easier when you have a one man advantage for a lot of the game however and it helps when you have a ref who made random decisions and failed to make others.

Good effort from the players, Hornchurch were definitely the better team and deserved to get something out of it. I know it's win at all costs when you're down there at the business end of the season but there are limits. Hopefully a stronger ref will penalise Lewes going forward in other games and they can then pay the price for their tactics.
