To be fair to the parrot, it was doing that well before the disallowed goal.

There have been four mascots so far - the croc at Margate, the albatross known as sammy the seagull at Hastings, the rare Autralian red billed parrot from Melbourne at Chelmsford, and Horsham had two - they had a wasp marquerading as a bee, no idea why, as they are called the Hornets, and also an 79 year old octagenarian, doing a good imitation of a hooligan.

 

Yes, it would be useful to have a mascot, because if anyone ever got banned from the ground, they could dress up as the mascot and still get in.

 

So, as HFC are called the Urchins, the only possible mascot has to be the Eagle Owl, whose favourite food is of course the hedgehog, which used to be called in medieval times an Urchin.

 

You can almost imagine Mentalist dressed up as an Eagle Owl and patrolling the touchline along the eastside just inches from the match officials.
