The Straw That Broke The Camels Back.

What would be the point, for me he has to go & go now, let Margolis & Smee see the season out then let the board make a decision.

I cant believe JC would want to stay after recent performances, he can walk away with his head held high at what he has achieved in the past six years & get himself sorted ready for next season at a new club.

To that, I'd like to add something about stopping the disciplinary decline. That comes down to the players, so perhaps the primary consideration should be removing the key miscreants (which might even act as potential mitigation). The added benefit of doing so would hopefully be to save enough from the wage bill to fund the inevitable FA fine at the end of the season from current resources. Not doing so simply means it comes from next season's wage bill, and would impact upon the quality of applicants for the management post(s). It may also make a new manager's job easier, in that he'll have less of a squad to weed through come the summer.

On the basis that the U-18s could no fewer points than the first team in the last two games, I see little problem in playing the four Middx representatives for the rest of the season. That also sets them up to be regulars next season, and would underpin the club's conveyor belt and reputation going forward.

This league requires sides to play with pace & power. We currently do neither. Looking across the first team squad and think who you'd keep is quite frightening at the moment.

If players do not respond to a manager and continue to lack discipline and get yellow and red carded for the fun of it, then the manager has to carry the can and not just the players.

Graham Taylor said on the radio today that 'a good team is a team who can lose properly'. We don't seem to be able to accept defeat gratiously.

As for an inevitable fine, just where is the money going to come from? Supporters' pockets and that raised by a loyal band of supporters at race nights, etc? If crowds fall, income falls and budgets not realised. What happens then?

It is no good ranting and raving old towner you should have stood for the board when you had the chance of a step up in Society!

The Enfield Town equivalent of Marie Antoinette "let them eat cake" is "let them fund raise!" See we do get crumbs from the Boards table at times! Just remember to tug your forelock as they pass on the terraces! We peasants should remember our place!

I didn't have the hump, but then again, thankfully I didn't go. Not going to this Saturday's game either, so won't have the hump again.

The potential qualities of many a Board member, although 6 were there.

Here is a thought for you Old Towner and Lovely Stuff - If you are a season ticket holder the only way you can get value from your season ticket to the end of the season is to attend the final league home games of the season. Would attendance at home games for town season ticket holders breach their Human Rights?

No Jim must go and a interim team headed up by Mike Smee would be the best way to bring the youngsters on as he will know them best.

This will set things up nicely for next season there will be more money for next season and probley more than four young players for the future so don’t dismiss the rest of the youth because they are not in the Middlesex county side as we have several players that play for other counties.
