Quite unbelievable.

I would have thought bringing the club into disrepute should have terminated his contract?

I hope every club in the world back Grays Athletic and that if they are unsuccesful, a judge will order the payment as victim compensation.

To quote Alan Partridge

looks like grays have fallen foul of "FA regulations" which seem to go against common sense, no surprise there.

Grays were found guilty of this 9 months ago,at the time a Grays spokesman said: "Much as it sticks in our craw to have to pay a substantial amount of money to a convicted criminal who did nothing for this football club, we might have understood it better had we been asked to pay it to the family of the victim of this crime.

"Perhaps Mr Sestanovich might have a pang of conscience and do the decent thing and, if he is at all remorseful rather than greedy, ask us to do just that."

perhaps thats the way out of it?

I fear, that they fear the culture of litigation, and the victim culture creeping into society, thanks to the selfishness and greed and lack of community spirit fostered in the 80's under a certain M Thatcher..... duel boxing

Well, it must be a new slant on 'professional' footballers.

1) One mediocre player signs for a club on an inflated salary.

2) Immediately goes out and does an armed robbery.

3) Gets suspended by club.

4) Waits six months or so for the trial.

5) Gets convicted.

6) Claims six months back-pay.

You couldn't make it up, could yer ???

Blaming Maggie for this is unbelievable, there was I thinking

that greedy footballers took their lead from the Premiership,

but no it dates back to before most players were even born.

It beggars belief that the FA are endorsing this absolute travesty of justice, but hey ho this is the pc world of the mad house.

If Ashley Sestanovich had an ounce of common decency in him he would take the offer of his 'back pay' being paid to the victims family.

Is it just me or is this not the first time his name has been mentioned in something unlawful.

Fair play to the morals of Grays Athletic!!!!!!!!!!!
