If you look closely at the video, you will notice that Simon knew he could not reach the ball, and therefore took one step back and jumped, with the intention of back heading the ball into the net for what is surely the most spectacular goal ever witnessed at Boreham Wood.

i had a much better view than robbie dags. i'm telling you the ball smashed into his face and into the net. after asking deano what happened, he was rubbing his nose...

 

agreed though. best goal ever at boreham wood. unless of course you ask andy tomlinson...
