Love Paul Weller & The Style Council, that though young Clifford wasn't my favourite.

I did like 'Wanted' though ! ; - )

May I walk you home tonight

On this fine and lovely night tonight

We'll walk past the luscious houses,

Through rolling lawns and lovely flowers

Our nice new town where the curtains are drawn

Where hope is started and dreams can be borne.

Let us share our insanity

Go mad together in community

Boys on the corner looking for their supper

Boys round the green looking for some slaughter

We used to chase dreams now we chase the dragon

Mine is the semi with the union jack on.

In our paradise lost we'll be finding our sanity

In this paradise found we'll be losing our way

For a brave new day.

May I slash my wrists tonight,

On this fine conservative night tonight

I was looking for a job so I came to town

I easily adopt when the chips are down

I read the ad about the private schemes

I liked the idea but now I'm not so keyne. May I walk you home tonight

Oh well, looks like someone was too busy - yet again (yawn) to find his way to a football ground. Good to see you managed to find something useful to fill your time Clifford. Not.

You are angling for a place in Ressies cup final team i reckon!

Never! smilewinkgrin.gif (Not sure if I've played enough games to be honest, what's the criteria for eligibility for that comp?)

Thursday 31 March

Premier Division

3 0 St Margaretsbury v Aylesbury United

47

A report on this surprise result from another's Forum:

Spartan South Midland League

St.Margaretsbury 3 Aylesbury United 0

Recreation Ground

Gate £6 Prog included Att 47 (seemed like more to me)

The first half of this game was poor. Aylesbury United did not turn up as an attacking force, and whilst St Margaretsbury played some nice football they did not create any clear chances. The highlight of the day to that point was the sausage bap (locally sourced sausages) that I decided to have a second helping at half time to cheer myself up. The second half was much better. Aylesbury started the half brightly and created a few chances but St Margaretsbury took the lead. A flowing move down the right led to a corner which was headed in by the centre forward. St Margaretsbury then let Aylesbury come onto them and the Ducks had their best spell of the game. Then St Margaretsbury doubled their lead on a 3 on 2 break. The ball carrier chose the right pass at the right time and the forward cooly placed the ball in the corner of the net. This demorilised Aylesbury and they did little more until the dying minutes when a couple of headers were well saved by the goalie. In the meantime though St Margaretsbury scored a third, thouroughly deserved goal. Totally against the league standings but St Margaretsbury were well worth their victory and this win should ease any thoughts of being relegated.

I'm sure there's quite a few people on here who can/would like to arrange that for you Rhodes.

I guess it depends on what kind of life you are looking for.

For those that enjoy the quite, rural life then no...living in Milton Keynes probably isn't for you.

For those that like living somewhere up and coming, with lots to do and plenty of places to go out then Milton Keynes is a good place to live.

For those that frequent an internet forum and live their lonely, pathetic little life through it, then they would probably rather be dead than live in Milton Keynes.

No4 - Do you honestly believe that is the case, Milton Keynes was supposedly up and coming when Paul Weller penned those lyrics in the 80's
