cup of tea
So, it's going to be Trump then as Cruz has now pulled out. He's almost certainly going to be against Clinton.
Big J R
I agree, Cuppa. And IF (Gawd forbid), Trumpton wilns it, I bet his leading advisors will be........ Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb !! Edited May 5, 2016 by Big J R cup of tea
cup of tea
Trumpton - idyllic town with old style values where nothing really happens and there's no Johnny Foreigner (especially any Mexicans) in sight - Sounds perfect for Donald Trump! Rhodes
What do members think of Donald Trump's latest indiscretions that could well be the final straw, it will make for an interesting Presidential debate tonight won't it between the great man and Hillary Clinton from Washington University in St Louis. For what it's worth Trump's comments were made in 2005 prior to getting involved in Politics and he has apologised unreservedly, men will be men and boys will be boys won't they: http://www.nytimes.com/video/us/politics/100000004698018/donald-trumps-lewd-comments-about-women.html Edited October 9, 2016 by Rhodes
cup of tea
Rhodes, welcome I think most of us say things in the past that we regret but I think Trump will keep on saying them!!!
Rhodes
So what did we think of the debate last night folks, it was pure theatre wasn't it and I felt Trump redeemed himself whilst wiping the floor with a beleaguered Hillary, you have to hand it to him. cup of tea
Unfortunately I think Trump did perform better. It's not Clinton that Trump needs to worry about now, It's Paul Ryan (who's never been a fan of Trump). He's the one that I think will bring Trump down in the elections. Clinton will obviously be the safer choice but having looked at what Romford Boy said about Bernie Sanders, I ended up being quite impressed by what he had to say.in terms of welfare, equal rights and his criticism of the Iraq war. I also think he would have torn Trump apart in the debates as he hasn't got the history that the Clintons have got. romford boy

It wont happen of coarse, but for the sake of peace and sanity in this wicked world of ours the only sensible solution would be if both candidates stood down. The one consolation is that Boris Johnson never became our PM, but when the consequences of brexit becomes a reality anything could happen. Big J R
Could you seriously trust a man like Trumpington when he actually gets to have his hand on the button ?? Edited October 14, 2016 by Big J R
cup of tea
Might play Russian Roulette with the button - ironically Russia would probably be the only country he wouldn't bomb as Putin's his mate
cup of tea
Trump has got his wife to defend him then - reminiscent of Jonathon Aiken who was prepared to get his daughter to lie under oath maybe ??? https://www.theguardian.com/politics/1999/jun/08/uk

Rhodes
Actually the final pre-election debate took place a few hours ago, what did we think and who came up smelling of roses: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_PtSij_YIA
cup of tea
From the highlights I saw, it was basically two people getting extremely personal and rude about each other. Clinton should know what Trump is like by now and not come down to his level. Neither of them should be in the White House in November in my opinion but if I had to choose one, I would pick Clinton just because she's a known quantity and won't do anything stupid. Up to the Americans though.

Personally, if Trump DOES get in, I'll buy a big pack of toilet paper, book my seat on the Khazi, and wait to kiss my @rse goodbye. cup of tea
Donald Trump is now 1 point ahead in the polls, not a fan of Clinton but she's the safe alternative. This is the country who elected in a second rate actor in Ronald Reagan and warmonger George W Bush in as presidents so I shouldn't be surprised really (mind you, we voted in Cameron!). Big J R
According to Adam Hills and Co on last nights 'The Last Leg' neither of the front runners is fit to lead the country Why not give Obama a third term ? OK - I know that's not possible, but I don't think he's done a bad job over his two terms in office.
Big J R
WELL - 'Wiggy' has gone and done it !! Polsters completely wrong again. The question I asked myself this morning is, "Will he actually live through his Presidency ?"
cup of tea
Are we going to take odds on it? Still can't believe it. Wait for the American refugees to come in now!!! Trump will only get one term (if he survives!) When he can't deliver on his bullsh*t promises , he'll get kicked out. Obamacare will go first, that will directly affect the poorer people who voted for him.
Big J R
I watched the 'Last Leg' special on TV last night. Richard Osman was a guest. Not only a TV celeb, he is a producer and renowned political 'expert'. He came out with one interesting comment which I don't believe was in jest when he implied.... "I doubt Trump will even complete this term as President." Was he refering to a JFK incident or impeachment, I ask myself ??
