This was a lovely touch at Elmfields Gate on Saturday wasn't it just to confirm what a great Club Winslow United are, I am sure they didn't think twice about allowing the livestream request of the game unlike some Club's I could mention this season who thankfully received their comeuppance:

I wonder whether the Ladies team can add to the Club's trophy haul this season, it will be a very tough ask against Luton Town Ladies on Wednesday evening at the New Roker Park but good luck to them:

Please don't all rush at once to avoid crashing the website but Real Bedford are offering an incredible 50% discount on all shirts, whilst stocks last, to celebrate their SSML Division One Championship win as well as lifting the prestigious Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy and at the Eyrie of all places, talk about rubbing salt into Bedford Town's gaping wounds who unceremoniously frogmarched Peter McCormack off the premises when he came calling towards the end of 2021:

To celebrate our League and Cup Double we are offering 50% off our standard home, away and training shirts. Just enter the promo code "Champions" when you reach the checkout.

Seriously, beating Elstow, who are basically a Step 7 side, at The Eyrie, doesn't rub any salt into Bedford Town's wounds at all. Most Bedford T fans only wish the players and management well at Real Bedford as several are ex-Bedford Town and still socialise with the fans there.

What an amazing effort and performance from Bedford Ladies last night to go down 3-2 on penalties to, on paper at least, a vastly superior Luton Town Ladies side who are flying high in the Eastern Region Women's League Premier Division and still in with an outside chance of the Championship. The score was 1-1 after ninety minutes, indeed Bedford Ladies had one or two opportunities to win the Bedfordshire FA Women's County Cup, late on, in normal time, having shocked their opponents when equalising on 82 minutes through a disputed penalty, Luton had led at the interval through a superb Tsaianne Leander strike from 30 yards out at the New Roker Park.

I believe I heard Peter say on a recent podcast that next year Bedford Ladies will officially be under their brand and shield. So looking forward to the Lady Pirates rising up over the years. Is there a pro/rel system similar to the men's side in the women's game?

A reminder that Bedford Ladies have an interesting looking fixture this evening against Stevenage Ladies if anyone is at a loose end, kick off 7.30pm at the nice Cranfield Pavillion 3g facility:

A strong performance from Bedford Ladies last night, against second in the table Stevenage Ladies, despite going down 2-0 to two second half goals, the first conceded immediately after the interval. The Ladies have two Eastern Region Women's League Premier Division fixtures remaining this season, against Needham Market on Sunday (7 May), being played at Kempston Rovers FC, and on Wednesday 17 May when they renew acquaintances with Luton Town Ladies, at Barton Rovers FC, following the recent enthralling Bedfordshire FA Women's County Cup Final:

A nice aerial shot of McMullen Park and the Eyrie, there is a lot of room to manoeuvre at McMullen Park and easily meet Step 4 ground grading requirements for 2024/2025 as well as Step 3 for 2025/26:

Bedford Ladies fought out a superb 2-2 stalemate against third in the table Needham Market Ladies on Sunday afternoon. With the score 1-1 at the break, following Natasha Fensome clinical 35th minute equaliser, Needham Market re-took the lead on 48 minutes however Bedford Ladies deservedly equalised late on through Aliya Bhatti:

An extract from Real Bedford's Strategic Plan for the 2023/24 campaign, in just nine seasons time, ie. in 2031/32, the Club will be looking forward to visits to Anfield, the Etihad, the Emirates, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, the London Stadium and Villa Park:

A summary of the 2022/23 campaign within the Club's recently published Strategic Plan for 2023/24, I wonder what Bedford Town must be thinking knowing that Peter McCormack could have quite easily been their Chairman:

Bedford Town will do their thing and Pete will do his thing with Real Bedford. It's much easier to have free reign with the brand etc. of a club like Bedford FC who donn't have the history and tradition of Bedford Town.

Skull and crossbones and pirates etc. not for Bedford Town, but all credit to PM for his success with RBFC so far.
