A game remembered for its physicality rather than free flowing football a patched up Hornchurch had defended stoically throughout Scotty magnificent again just switched off at the end and it was a soft goal, fair result a draw as per normal against Lewes,no new injury concerns and another tricky fixture on Monday, still top of the league,up the Urchins

A really soft goal to concede at the end especially having defended so well for the majority of the game, pretty sure that was their first shot on target. That’s just basic game management. Having said that, I think we were poor again today especially going forward. Femi didn’t hold anything up. Just feels like we have run out of ideas going forward and have done for a good few games now. We can’t rely on set pieces to keep bailing us out. We are still in a very good position but we don’t want this up and down form to become a thing otherwise we will give other teams a sniff and we may all get PTSD from last season. On to Monday, which will be a very tough game against an in form Hashtag.

The Dripping Pan mark II. Not exactly the free flowing game to brighten up the days between Christmas and the New Year. As said a makeshift team, Nash back scoring again, however we sat deep at the end and somehow the ball ended up in the back of the net. Points shared.

I don't honestly think that Joe had a save to make or if Lewes had a shot on target.

Think Lewes made it into a scrappy game, bit of pushing and shoving going on but we also perhaps lacked a bit of creativity to support the front line. Away at Hashtag will be a tricky game as they are up there. Bit of a disappointing goal to let in at the end but it’s another point in the bag and Enfield lost so that helps. Still top and have extended our lead, I’d rather be where we are than any other team in this league. COYU

Shame to miss out on all 3 points but with so many players missing from our squad currently a point isn't the end of the world and keeps us ticking along. One thing I will mention is the Lewes manager bringing up our pitch and the conditions every time we play them at home anyone would think they have a women's team that pumps in £££ to make their pitch half decent....oh wait they do.
