V The Planks. League Cup this evening

I think LS has been a bit insulting questioning Arky over the profits the supporters club makes out of merchandising. I can't remember seeing LS in a Town shirt (I may be wrong though). Mind you, a very nice brown shirt last night Mal....!!!!!

What are you on about Brunob????

We all realise the contribution Arky makes to help fund the club and the work he and his team put in.

The subject we are discussing is how much money (if any) would be lost in club shop revenue if Town had a blue away kit, rather than some other colour.Thats all.

Why do yo think that all other clubs have an away strip of totaly diferent colours to their first choice strip?

I want my team to have it's own identity and not just follow others.

Exactly. So why have an away kit that so many other non league clubs wear.Red and black stipes are not exactly unique.Or identified soley with Enfield Town.

Having dismissed Arky's green and lime.At least it is a rare (and possibly unique) colour.Just like the purple, Green/red quaters, that the old Enfield used to use.

Look. I personally believe Yellow or dark blue would be make the best choice for away kit.If Arky suggests that that is not financially viable. Then any kit we choose next time should be a Unique kit that no other club uses, and it should be voted for by the fans .Maybe the club shop/board/managment could identify 5 or 6 suitable designs, and then the supporters could vote for their personal favourite.

PS.. Many clubs do use the same colours for their away kit,as their home kit. They get round the merchandising dilema by having a lairy third kit.

What I said was that we needed to make our own identity and not follow any other club, past or bigger from a different borough. The fact that it is used by other clubs for their first choice should not stop us using it as a change strip.

At least we had a club choice and didnt just have to use a strip that was company colours.

...but a unique kit would prove too costly. That is why the red and black was chosen in the first place!!!!!

ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Will someone please shoot him!!!

To costly my ar*e.Will someone shoot the 'tit'.

If you look at all the websites of the kit manafactures, you will find the standard colours and rarer colours are the SAME price.

How about Purple Shirts with white sleeves, Purple Shorts & Socks.
That would be unique to us.

Steady.Happy might think they cost to much. That purple dye must be expensive

Seriously, thats not a bad colour combo. So Arkys championing Green/lime and Purple/white.Both a lot better than what we have a present.

Yes but I go along with the club choice and don't rant that it isn't my choice.

I might like to buy a Sundry.

I need to know what colours it is available in, do you need a licence, do you have to feed it, what aee the maintenance costs, can you keep it in the house, does it need batteries and does it come with a warranty?

Now, what about goal nets? We (last time I was down) had plain white (well, dirty white...) ones. Who voted for these? You can get nets in different coloursr, or with two colours. How about lime green and purple? Just imagine what it would have been like with one of Chopper's dubious choices of kit in front of it ....

Why is the bread pudding always brown? Is it to copy the Spurs 3rd kit?

What about a white shirt with white piping down each sleeve? Blue shorts with three blue vertical lines down each side and a pair of white and blue socks. One white and the other blue. Making sure that the white sock is on the left leg and blue on the right for all players so they know which foot they are kicking the ball with!

Fick me

I have just wasted immense periods of my life reading LS being back to normal. And he was doing so well. Thank goodness I never got that inner circle application out.

tick, tick, tick,
