predictions for this weekend

Hilaire now plays for Erith and Belvedere. So says Margate History site and others.

Don't think Darren Watson is still at Hendon either, or at least hasn't played this season.

I will go 7-0 Gate, with attendance 611, ever the optimist. Or perhaps more likely: postponed due to waterlogged pitch.

According to Hendons web site -

Ian Hilaire

Striker who joined the club from Ramsgate in September 2006 making his debut as a substitute against Billericay Town. Also played for Margate.

An interesting one here too, the name rings a bell...

Francois Gabbidon

18 year old young defender who has now progressed to the first team having impressed in recent years for the youth and reserve teams.

Any relation to West Hams Danny Gabbidon? Anyone know??

I see many are predicting Jay to score.

Question is-will he get in the team?

RT does have an understandable habit of keeping 'faith' in a winning side.

imo Jay should/must play but who makes way?

Abbo had a storming second half.

Tony if you look on Hendon's player list Hilaire is shown as a 'player who has left the club'. He played for E&B on 1 November. They changed manager after that game and he is not listed since.

Does anybody know more?

Ah yes, just seen it! Thank you Chris, I stand corrected!

I can see your logic ,but i think you should always play players in their best positions, and not tinker too much.
Equally not mess Jay around too much

I agree in general, but I was thinking more of 4-4-1-1, because Danny is such a good target man, and Jay such a good provider. I am thinking of flick-ons etc.

Let's face it, Jamie plays so deep that's what we look like most of the time anyway.

Hendon player to watch out for is Takumi Ake. Little Japanese player, usually comes off the bench for them. Does tend to drift out of games and doesn't like the rough stuff but is very skilful.

Find me a Japanese player that does like the 'rough stuff'!!! lol

I'm with you MM. 5-1. I think the team are going to turn it on for the home fans this week to make up for the Staines game.Lets hope so anyway. Scorers? I don't care who scores really though to see Danny stay top of that scorers league would be nice. So maybe a few from him but anyone else scoring will do for me. Att.623

Hope you are right with all these big score lines.

In todays paper Trotty says "Playing away from home suits our style, teams have to take us on rather than put men behind the ball when the visit" He goes on to say "He is convinced that it won't be long before we are playing with the same syle in our home games, once we have got to grips with the fact that a lot of clubs will come to Hartsdown looking for a point and just playing on the break.

Lets hope they come to grips with Hendon on Saturday as I am sure they will pack their defence.
