Well done Broxbourne

My money would be on Welwyn if they keep their current management and squad next season. (Cue Rhodes...)

I think I'm already on record as saying that I will be very surprised if Del and Steve are still at Herns Lane next season.

Saf06 - I see you get a mention in this recent article on the Non League Today Website:

There is quite a comprehensive report of Saturday's game on another's Forum albeit more from a groundhopper's prospective:

I see that Broxbourne Borough are all over the Non League Today Website like a rash following Saturday's 2-1 win over Kingsbury:

Really... I didn't think they had applied or that the ground is up to Ryman spec? Also you'll actually have the little matter of winning the league as well?

Broxbourne haven't applied to go up at the end of this season. The deadline passed on 31st December. They are not on the list so if champions still wouldn't be eligible. The season after is what they may be looking at and good luck to them.

The 5 applicants from the SSML are as follows and only one of these will be promoted on two conditions. 1)If they win the league and 2) if they pass the ground grading. The only ground I know for a fact that has passed so far is Bigg Town. The others have until March 31st 2009 to pass the grading. Passing last season were Chalfont, Hanwell and Harefield so I don't see a problem with them unless something drastic has changed since.

Biggleswade Town

Chalfont St Peter

Hanwell Town

Harefield Utd

Kingsbury London Tigers

Wader - I think that is possibly a case of the Club not expecting to be in the position they're currently in so they didn't bother applying for promotion.
I think this article from the Daventry Express tells us what we already know doesn't it:

We felt at the boro we could finish in the top 6 this season and push for promotion in 2010. We would then have the ground up to standard as well.

I see that Broxbourne have landed a coup in signing highly rated Tony Burke from Potters Bar Town:

You sure you haven't got that the wrong way round Rhodesy? Tony Burke has been at Broxbourne for years. And your link talks about somebody completely different!
