Krooner

Recommended Posts

Kroons,if you were offered panto role,Cinderella maybe, as your loved by all it seems on here.

A Little birdy tells me that Kroons is already booked to play 'Baron Hard-On' in a production at Camberley.

It should be a great success as the main sponsor for the panto is Viagra !

Cove 1 Horley 1

zzzzzzz

Horley did not really trouble Cove until the last 20 mins and Cove missed a handful of good chances.

Horley equalised with about 5 to go and fair play to them that they kept going. They were shocking first half and a change in formation gave them a better chance.

I suspect Cove were bitterly dissapointed not to win but given Horley's second half commitment, a draw was a fair result.

Not a great game to watch, but sometimes they happen.

To our suprise Johnno was 'dropped/made an example of' and with the risk of inflating his head, the game changed when he came on.

He doesn't have a brother in the team does he Jurgs ?

Smudge mate how dare you tarnish me as a Public Schoolboy. Council born and breed mate ;)

Cheers Jurgs for the kind comments. Really enjoyed it too. Loved the crowd behind the goal and didn't have any problems with them. Thats all I want to do. Play in front of a vocal crowd week in week out.

As for having a brother I'm an only child :(

No chance of my head inflating TC. Just waiting in anticipation for the countless 7 dayers... :futbolbud2:

Don't know if Nut made it in the end but would be interested to hear his view if he did, or that of Kroons (although I know that will consist of "I wasn't there so can't really say").

yes jurg i was there , i actually thought he handled twice , albeit accidental both times as he was floundering around on the floor , defo pen and i would have straight red myself , but not to be booked well what can i say , rounded off by a poor penalty which was easily saved.

young keeper defo mom for me and has a bright future, good game of football shame about the lack of balls though ,

your number 10 was also doing his best to get sent off after his early booking

Sorry Johnno, don't think we can afford you!!! The transfer fee for Meps has not gone through yet.

Also at Cove to see one of the most boring sides I have seen this season and it is no wonder that Horley have drawn so many games. Cove dominated for large parts and missed a few chances but Horley look a tough side to break down, but then with 10 men behind the ball for most of the game this was not surprising. Agree with TC Johno played well when he came on, does the simple things well and seems to know his limitations. For me Cove need a goalscorer if they are too challenge the top 6, otherwise midtable looms. Horley will probably end up losing about 5 games all season but only win 5 and draw the other 32.

Sounds like a good game at Chertsey and a promising performance from Cobham.

Also good to see Krooner and his Cambo friends continuing their moan fest, top of the table and not happy. They are hard people to please by the look of things. What were they like when they were rubbish??

Where is everyone off to Saturday? Im undecided but leaning towards a Vase game and will probably go to Wembleys game on Sunday too.

Grim innit? I keep trying to be positive and optimistic but keep getting outvoted.

When we were rubbish we were resigned to the fact that we were rubbish. For the past three seasons we've been spoilt by (some) good performances and plenty of wins so now expectations are raised. When those expectations aren't meant it's all doom and gloom for a few days.

Personally I'm delighted we're top and delighted we're winning games however we play. We made Chertsey look ordinary, inflicted Sandhurst's first defeat of the season and only lost to North Greenford because of one bad decision from a player with 10 seconds to go. I'm not confident enough to say we'll win the league yet but no complaints from me regarding the season so far.

**edit**

Actually there is one complaint - Redhill away in the Vase. That was duff.

I enjoy reading this forum and don’t often feel the need to make comment. However as 1st Team Manager of Horley Town I feel I should respond to some observations about our match and performance against Cove on Tuesday evening.

We had 5 first team players unavailable for the fixture. Our goalkeeper James Wastell was suffering from a bad bout of flu and indeed should not have played but did so because he didn’t want to let the club down. Added to that 2 of our starting 11 broke down on the way to the match so we subsequently only had 12 players available. Our reserves also played on Tuesday so taking more than 14 to begin with wasn’t an option.

Therefore our tactics for the match were changed about 45 minutes prior to kick-off. We did set ourselves up with a formation that was aimed at restricting Cove as much as possible. I’m sure you can understand that.

However I don’t think we did restrict Cove at all in the 1st half and they were getting into too many good positions and creating lots of opportunities, which unfortunately for them they take and didn’t actually make our keeper make too many saves.

We recognised that the formation was not working and was confusing the players, my fault. We changed it at halftime and the players responded really well. I felt we forced their keeper into a couple of very good saves, 1 before they scored and 1 after.

I actually thought that when they scored it was against the run of play, probably a biased view.

Under the circumstances I was happy with a point.

I accept that we have drawn too many games. We do not set out to stop teams playing; we do set out to play well in all departments including our defence. We have struggled to win games and that in part is because we can’t consistently get all of our strikers available.

This is a strong league this year (the most competitive in my 3 years) and there are at least 6 potential winners.

As an aside I too was surprised and if I’m honest pleased that Johnno did not start. In our recent games against Cove not only has he played very well but he leads and motivates others around him. To his credit when I asked him after the game why he hadn’t started, although clearly disappointed he did not whinge or moan. I think his performance in the last 20 minutes will guarantee he won’t be warming the bench on Saturday.

Don't let 'em get to you FSB - the 3-3 draw against Baddy Lea earlier this year was a great game to watch :)

Welcome to the forum, FSB.

I'm sure we must know each other, even if only by sight !

Tell Roger it's time he bought a new cap !

(A highly cryptic post for me, I thought !)
