Surely clubs at step 2 won't now be needing any loans?

RR  If a step 2 club has applied for a loan an accepts the terms then they could have a cash boost in hand for the next season that may be the thinking

Not sure you can class it as a cash boost. It’s still a loan that needs to be paid back with interest! I agree as step 2 is now null and void, no help is required in terms of loans as the N&V vote has stopped the immediate threat to clubs.

Pity Marc White cannot accept the vote, starting to make himself look very foolish and alienating the rest of the league.

But that is what happens when big egos take over a club – just look at his hair – he cannot accept it is falling out and needs to dye it to look young – surprised he has not taken out a law suit for it to reverse its decision and grow back its natural colour!

Step 2 has been null and voided by the NL but not ratified yet by the FA.

Going back to Marc White at Dorking, I see he's been appearing and campaigning on radio stations whipping up support and getting his legal team to appeal directly to the FA not to ratify the null and void vote.

What are they going to say? "Stop the Steal"?

At present furlough ends on 30th April, so although clubs with players on contract (presumably to 31st May as the season started late), might not incur the full cost of their wages until the end of April, they currently will do so in May.

And what could one month of full salaries amount to for the bigger spending clubs in our league (Ebbsfleet, Havant, Dartford?), £30k, £40k, £50k, or more?

Sir Rebel, Dorking Wanderers are just one of 18 clubs who signed a joint letter to the National League dated 19th February requesting that the season for Step 2 clubs be continued for those clubs that wish it to, ending with play-offs and promotion and relegation.

Marc White did not take over Dorking Wanderers FC, he founded it in 1999. In it's first season, the club played in the Crawley & District League.

As for his hair, on the way to the Hayes & Yeading United v Chipstead FA Cup replay earlier this season, I dropped into a barber's shop on the Uxbridge Road. The young barber said that he could not believe that I was older than 65. Just goes to prove that Grecian 2000 does work to a degree!!!

Looking at the resolution 3, it appears that if the FA ratify the position (N+V) as part of that resolution promotion and relegation is to be suspended from step 2 for 20/21. Therefore it seems that if the FA ratify the decision, any "mini league" would be pointless anyway.

If clubs want a mini league let relegation also be on the agenda and then see how many clubs vote for it.

In one form or another it looks on the cards that furlough will be extended.
