Winslow Boy - Thanks, I still had time to amend my post, I do recall now that George Tomlin left Elmfields Gate back in January as he was featured on Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League ShowPaul Alleyne and Roni Joe aren't joint Managers are they. What sort of season do you think Winslow United will have once we get under way, it's a shame they always tend to be the Tim Henman and Jean van der Velde of the SSML and bottle it around late February or early March just when getting into a great position.

Hard to say at this point, we always seem to start slowly then have a really strong mid season but run out of steam as you say towards the end. Cup competitions have also been a source of frustration. The noises that I’m hearing all sound positive, so fingers crossed this will be the season.

Gavin Hoyte and Ollie Thorne are new joint managers at Bedford

Ex Arsenal Gavin Hoyte? Last I heard he was at Maidstone. Throne started at MK Dons and played for a lot of decent non league clubs including Hemel and Kettering I think. Potentially really good appointments, especially if they play too.

No it is a different person, Gavin has played at a good level but not the ex pro. Both would be excellent additions to any side in the SSML!

Looks a good appointment for sure, improved the playing squad with them alone and their knowledge and contacts of a higher level will prove very useful I’m sure.

I thought it might help to list the current SSML Managers, as far as I am aware, starting with the Premier Division, there are very few old fashioned characters these days which is a shame as it added to the matchday enjoyment:

Biggleswade United - Chris Devane
Broadfields United - Ryan Duffy
Colney Heath - Ryan Thompson
Crawley Green - Craig Bicknell & Craig Meyrick
Dunstable Town - Gareth Jackson
Edgware Town - Fergus Moore

London Colney - Ken Charlery
Newport Pagnell Town - Gary Flinn
North Greenford United - Colin Jones

Fergus Moore at Edgware Town is a true Non League legend, his recent autobiography "And Sometimes the Dog was busy" is a great read of his 30 plus years playing and now managing in the game, he's a REAL football man!

This is a link to a article the NLP recently ran on him.

The Leatherhead Lip - Thanks, I'll change that then, it's still showing Ryan Duffy on the Club's Wikipedia page and that they ply their trade at Preston Park. I believe Liam Bird was in charge when Broadfields United lifted the Middlesex FA Premier Cup at Earlsmead in 2017/18 beating Harefield United 1-0 despite having two players sent off, they also won the SSML Challenge Trophy that season.
