Sports Shots have already featured this one and I wonder whether that means one of their excellent photographers will be dispatched to Spratleys Meadow that evening. As the article says the Club's last locked horns in a pre-season friendly fixture at Spratleys Meadow on Tuesday 22 July 2014 with Aylesbury United winning 6-1:

Aylesbury United give hope with first 2021/2 season pre season friendly

7th March 2021 by Andy Bone

Aylesbury United have organised their first pre-season friendly of the 2021/22 season.

Aylesbury United will play Amersham Town in our first pre-season friendly ahead of the 2021-22 season.

The match against the Magpies of the Spartan South Midlands League Division One will take place away at Spratleys Meadow in Amersham on Tuesday 13 July, with a 7.30pm kick-off.

It will be the first time the two teams have played each other since a friendly in 2014, when the Ducks won 6-1 including a hat trick from Paul Edgeworth.

Is this thread not just for what it says on the tin, i.e. pre-season friendlies for the new 2021/22 campaign, there will be a lot of 'ad hoc' matches arranged following the lifting of most, if not all, of the pedantic restrictions in May however it's early July that we're interested in isn't it when we can hopefully start afresh and with a clean slate. Aylesbury United have sensibly arranged three interesting looking games so far at a time when they would normally take place, albeit announced now as opposed to late May or early June.

We haven't anmonced the KO time for our game with Hendon on Tuesday 13th July, I'm assuming it'll be a 7:45 KO as you listed but at the moment I would go with KO TBC

Just been informed that Committee members will NOT be admitted to our game with Cockfosters on Saturday. Seems to be a farcical decision when Hadley and London Colney are more than happy for our committee members to attend!

FYI we're happy to allow all committee members to our 3 games at home in April

That's disgusting isn't it, maybe you should just cancel the game in protest

It's disappointing, they've also put a limit on the number of coaching staff we can have as well.

It's been somewhat sorted and they'll be allowing a couple of committe members to attend.

Cockfosters have never been the same Club since Graham Bint left Chalk Lane due to ill health and later very sadly passed away
