After the feast of goals last week, it was naturally famine time – both at Bridge Avenue and in the Prediction League.  A case of life imitating art?  Or the other way round?  Who knows; we are football fans, not Oscar Wilde (unless I’m missing something).  

Three matches were won with only 4 goals scored – probably a record – and nobody scored more than 8.   Marvellous stuff.  It wasn’t helped by us scoring a collective zero on the attendance – with the fireside clearly trumping the Eastside as the location of choice on a chilly Saturday.   Whimps.

Given the match results I was hoping for a zero (there’s only ever been 3 of these – and one of those was when Ozz only predicted on one game).  Unfortunately it wasn’t to be with Dinamo going closest with a magnificent 1.   He couldn't even get that right.  Curses.

Surprisingly few promotion/relegation tussles were resolved – with just Old Urchin confirming his promotion spot – so it is indeed ALL TO PLAY FOR on the final week.  Fat Tom needs a miracle mind.

Golden Boot - nobody.   Not worth smelting down our dwindling stock of gold for four boots for a mere 8 goals.
