The famous Wycombe Wanderes (or Leyton or Waltham Abbey) went to Rome to see the pope..etc.

one of the younger "crew" did start GIVE US an E; but as he can't spell; we all just fell about "larfing"


as for "maybe it's cos I'm a londonder" well I'm not ! neither are my wife and family they keep telling me their from Enfield not london!

The most unpopular supporter in Britain is the guy at Inverness Caledonian Thistle who started sing "give us an I....."

 

The only guy less popular some years back was someone at one of the constituent clubs of the present Dagenham and Redbridge who started a "give us an L...." - the club were called Leytonstone/Ilford incorporating Walthamstow Avenue at the time.

 

Back to the subject.... what happened to Down Town?
