Junior, Middlesex no longer exists. The Post Office retain the name for some addresses in what used to be Middlesex because when they made up the London postcodes they did not go far enough out - only about halfway up the borough. So Winchmore Hill, Palmers Green, Southgate, Edmonton etc all have "London N" numbers but the northerly parts of the borough are still postally addressed as Middlesex. Much of Barnet is postally adressed as Hertfordshire but it's also a London borough.

Like all postcodes EN has no relevance to anything except the post office. It relates to the main sorting office dealing with an area at the time they made them up.

I used to live in Enfield Lock and had an 01992 phone number (Lea Valley) - doesn't mean I lived in Hertford!

As far as I'm concerned, I live in Middlesex. It will always exist in people's hearts and minds, our team is affiliated to the Middlesex FA adn we have a Middlesex County Cricket Club. So, naff off Mr Invis. You are nothing short of a screaming, Livingstone loving London looney!

No Junior, I wasn't moaning, just explaining the facts of the matter!

You might as well claim that Enfield is in Wessex, Mercia or Essex, as it it has been in all of those at some time in the past. But it's not now, it's in London. Funnily enough, London was once a town in Middlesex but there you go. You see Junior, things change, but very old people like your dad and Happy can't cope with it..... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

And yet again Arsenal and Spurs scores were brought into it,Why?

This saturday especialy will be a time to leave this out no matter what the result earlier in the day,do we need any bad feelings stirred when we should ALL be supporting Enfield Town?

We omit bad language now lets keep to the Town.

David and a couple of others started about Everton when they scored at Arsenal and then sang each time spurs scored, what did this have to do with ETFC?

I always used to be with the singers at Southbury Road but know as it is I would go nowhere near or join in with pointless pro-spurs songs as away from the Town I am a Gooner and proud of it.

Why pay to watch a ESL game if your more interested in other games?
