As for leaflets and posters advertising future games, this has been going on for quite a while on and off.

obviously not haveing a great effect then is it.

why don't we have a few cheerleaders, highest bidder get a nosh of one of them at half time in the centre circle or something.

I know a group of lads who would be only too pleased to play at Stonebridge Road. They have performed at many venues nationwide and internationally and the wouldn’t ask for a penny.

If anyone is seriously interested let me know and I can arrange. If I put the word about in the temple I'm sure many more from my community would be happy to pay to watch them.

Or you could just walk down to Valley Drive and get the 480 . Point taken though.

Seeing as you're talking about buses, do you know how long the 480 bus takes to get to the ground? Just I've been getting lifts for the past few games, but can't tomorrow and must make my own way there.

Cheers.

I don't know...in the big one I was starting to think he may be the third one in the second line. He used to be in my class at Gravesend Grammar School and played tabla. I just wondered if he was involved with it all. One of the older ones may have gone to the school aswell, I'm not sure...

Bunty,Bunty? I know Bunties father Priest Mala Singh - a fine kabhaddi player by all accounts. When you speak to Bunty next ask him about Riktam Bhopal. He'll know Riktam because Riktam was the one who was mugged for £27,000 collection money on him from Gravesend Gurwara when travelling up to Hounslow one afteroon. Riktam was lucky because he got away without a mark on him, but was to shocked to be able to identify any of his attackers.

Blimey, glad he's ok then. Umm yeah like I said, I used to go to school with Bunty, so I haven't actually seen him since about May. Sorry about that. At School he had two Sikh friends Harjinder and Michael Rowe, although I don't think either of them played tabla or anything. I think Bunty's Dad was a taxi driver.

particularly to the east of Gravesend and I'm thinking specifically of Riverview Park where, if you haven't got your own transport it can be awkward to get to Stonebridge Road. From what I can remember it takes two buses at the very least.

I live in riverview and walk to and from games sometimes. Although I do prefer the train.

The bus normally takes about twenty minutes to get to and from the ground

About half an hour, traffic permitting.

why don't we have a few cheerleaders

A few seasons ago it was announced we were going to have cheerleaders on a regular basis, but this never materialized.

Do you really think a band of supporters with a few flags is going to be the inspiration to lure an extra thousand or more (yes, we need at least an extra thousand spectators to progress) to Stonebridge Road?

No - But no single gesture will do that , maybe with the exception of Jessica streaking around the pitch at half time, but even that might not be enough. So failing that, every little bit helps.

personally think that the flag idea is inspired.

Whether we like it or not, the perception of the Fleet fan is an anorak . We must break through this perception to progress.

OK here's my opinion / response;

To be honest - the idea is awful.

The people will just be branded by the outside world as 'oddball scarfers', a footballing equivalent of train-spotting anoraks. A laughing stock.

What we have to do is get something that people interested that aren't interested at the moment.

If we could start up a supporters group (alongside the Fleet Trust) that looks "cool" then hangers on will just turn up. Some would lose interest after a while but if we can get that far hopefully what we are left with is a big full time club ready to ply their trade in the league.

We need two things plenty of youngsters and Plenty of press. CHARLES......

I know it's been said over an over about the leaflets but as far as I'm aware (correct me if I'm wrong) no kind of leaflet drop has ever been considered. I'd bet good money that if a leaflet advertising the Fleet and their upcoming home fixtures was put through every door in Gravesend, it would persuade at the very least a couple of hundred extra to come along to the next game.

This is the kind of thing the club needs to be organising really, but if they're not going to I suppose it falls into the hands of us supporters and the trust.

Erm no. Couldn't disagree more.. Would chip in, if we need to raise cash.

Personally would go for old style soviet flag with Hammer and sickle with Fleet Reds across the middle. But thats my own choice , and don't suppose they will be many supporters in favour.

There especially good at away games, as they help us fill the empty spaces on the terraces.

For all you footballing flag fans, Eastbourne have a good one.

Flag of St. George with sandcastle in the middle. Hopefully they will bring it on the morrow.

Up the Fleet.. Let the broadchurch of the Fleet get broader.
