It is today confirmed that Jim Stannard has been announced as the new manager of Redbridge FC.

 

42 year old Romford born Stannard started his career with Ford United before a move to Fulham where he kept goal for 12 seasons with a period at Southend in between.

 

He returned to Fulham for £50,000 in 1995 and made a career record 389 appearances.

 

Chairman Jimmy Chapman chose Stannard from a shortlist of five applicants and he aims to bring is his ex-fulham team mate Dean Coney as assistant manager and ex Orient and Southend midfielder David Martin as coach.
