Hehe The topic heading is Hornchurch, does that mean all themes regarding how not to run your club gets to feature on this thread? That tannoy business sounds a quite innocuous story to me, I might unwittingly have done the same myself.

 

I haven't much idea about what went on at St.Albans but do recall on Lee Hardings arrival there were warnings (purportedly from the St Albans club)how things would soon go awry with this bad penny. While others have told a very different story. There doesn't seem to be anyone at Braintree having a problem with him and yes he's been at the club for two years plus now. I know for sure that Gazza or anyone else would not appreciate having their character continually dragged through the muck in the manner AFF does it. He clearly has a very personal axe to grind, Lee Harding genuinely loves his football and is clearly making the resources available with a view to raising the profile of the club. What more could a clubs supporters ask for?

Gazza it was not a bite i was just explaining if anyone was to blame for Tuesday night it was me ,not Bomber,not IW,but me.
And yes Gazza your right i am the groundsman but one thing you don't know about me is i have been a mobile DJ for more years than i care to remember.
So in future check your facts before you post mate and then you wont come over as the clueless burke you have on this occasion.

Andy, if it's water of a ducks back, why on earth do you keep on defending? Or is that another question that you chaps in Boretree will refuse to answer?

Oh and I used to be a mobile DJ so jag off. Announcing one teams sending off and not yours isn't a mistake mate. It's incitement. Now who's coming over as a clueless burke? Yourself, me thinks

I did not inform Bomber that you don't announce a sending off until he had already announced the Hampton one, that is why when Chris Wild was dismissed nothing was said, so surely even you can see it was a genuine mistake.

And your right insults are not the way ,i try not to get personal with people unless they are getting personal themselves with me or the club i love ,just the way you love your club.

Enjoy your day at Kingsmeadow today it should be an experience ,one i'm lookin forward to later in the season.

Andy, this is a quote from an earlier post you made:

So at the mo we have Bomb telling us he was instructed by "your chairman" (post either deleted or changed on your forum as is the want of a certain moderator when "facts" quoted are not as he wishes them presented) and the denying it, you telling us it was your fault and then denying it, Bomb telling us he was told by someone (name not mentioned so we must assume the magic announcer fairy that sems to live at your gaff). So no one is responsible...least of all, the man with the mic. Thank god you guys don't give him hand grenades to play with!!!

 

As for our trip to Wimbledon. A great day out (marred by an unfortunate incident) where the team applied themselves well in the first half, were pushed back in the second and came back in the last 10. We deserved more, I think, overall but there appears to be a lack of belief concerning "winning" games...but that'll be sorted out before we meet you lot, don't you worry!!!

Your response about the "family" that is Braintree Town FC could have been written by any fan of the Mighty Saints in 1999/2000 so forgive me if I don't reach for an onion.

 

Tell me, Andy. Do any of these phrases ring a bell: "Hate mob drove me out", "All four tyres on me car were slashed", I was spat at in the street", "This is supposed to be me hobby", "I put £400,000 of me own money into that football club", "I am detemined to stop using me wallet and start using me brains"?

 

There was an F.A. Inspection of the books and records at Clarence Park. The Chairman's notes in the following week's matchday programme happily reported that the club had passed with "flying colours". Phew! That's all right then. 'Flying colours' eh? Great stuff. No-one could possibly mis-represent those facts, surely? The F.A. 'n all.

 

Unfortunately, it turned out that "flying colours" wasn't precisely the words used by the F.A. Officials at the time, as was discovered 12 months later when the club was suspended from the League for 5 weeks, facing a winding-up order in the High Court in London and on the brink of extinction.

Sorry to join in on this so late, its just it took me ages to read it all !!

The reason its Bombers first season is because the bloke that was the announcer got told his services were no longer required (although the Chairman only bothered to let him know after he turned up for a game!!), so it probably was a mistake that he announced the sending off, although a pretty stupid one, but when you read his posts you can tell he's not quite fully educated (although doesn't seem to realise this)

Unfortunately many people have been taken in by the Chairman over the past couple of years, & if your not in the Supporters club then your not 'in' with the boss. Worrying times at Cressing Road, & I think there's a few unanswered questions with this building development !!

Bomberbass...educated or not, SO WHAT, he supports his club and remains loyal. Of course it was a mistake to announce a sending off, but as bomber stated, he did as he was instructed.

 

I don’t think the editing of his post did him any favours, but that's no reason to critisise his education.

 

Yep Unc, Braintree v's AFF is the call, It seems to be at the semi-final stage now because it's being played on a neutral ground.

 

The final's shaping up to be a cracker <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
