stadium and preseason update

okay then...here we go...

 

clubhouse fully redecorated and looks real swish...kitchen and utility room being done next week...gym and physio suite now updated and ready for the new season...

 

new burger bar on the eastside will be open for business on the first league game of the fixtures (urchins bar selling burgers and hotdogs on the eastside for friendlies)

 

new advertising hoarding for new sponsors go up next week before tuesdays game...new beers in the clubhouse on tap and ice and a new theme for the restaurant being discussed at this moment in time..

 

new second and third team kits and training and warm up kits are in the kit room and the first team and the replicas will be with us in the next few days...

 

the pitch is being fertilised manana......and looks superb altho' we may have a three week wait to get the burnt patches right (as you all know some thicko put to much fertiliser in the sand) <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

 

newly refurbished toilets both sides coming up.....all stands being steam cleaned later this week...

 

and on the team front the boys are well short of match fitness but looking good on paper and in training....odds are available from bet365 from monday 31st july.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

there have also been new additions to our match day officials team which Nette will announce tomorrow...welcome aboard chaps and enjoy the ride...

 

and lastly.....many many thanx to all who have assisted us in this close season for the love of the club...they know who they are and they know its appreciated...

i think it would be arrogant to assume we're destined for success. canvey are bound to have a say in the outcome of this league, as are enfield town and sudbury... in fact, we'll be lucky to stay up.

 

(hope the bookies read this)

Whatever the bookies or players on paper may read, it's a new team and as such needs time to gel. I hardly think Enfield, Bury, Sudbury or Canvey or anyone else for that matter is thinking, oh, here come the Urchins we'll lower our game....It's going to be a very tough season, no doubt with lots of ups and downs.

 

Can't wait, mind you!
