a tough game tonight and a very lively and much underrated potters bar town who had decided that they would very much like to spoil the urchins party tonight....

daggsy will give the usual report but suffice to say that our team proved tonight that they can win the big games that top tables and also fight back when against the ropes which we were tonight for much of the first half...

well done everyone and a respectable attendence of 311 on a cold tuesday evening...

Well done to our battling warriers. Colin had it spot on with the substitutions. He is a tactical genius !!!

Sid there was talk in the summer that you are Unc in disguise!

Obviousley this is not true!

However hailing tactical genius for correcting a very poor first half is in my opinion a little over the top!

Hi Lurchy, well I guess we all have different takes on the game and that makes it so interesting. Football is littered with stories of subs coming on and scoring straight away and the football pundits usually heap praise on the Manager for making such decisions. I think "inspired" is a good word. I believe we have the best Manager in the league and I don't think it hurts to let him know that. Our lads put in so much effort and some of the criticism they receive is really unfair. I just try to redress the balance a little.

Poor first half apart from Andy Tomlinson who was excellent.

To be fair they never let us rest at anytime and were closing us down well. This however tired them out in the second half allowing us to control the game and pick up the victory. With Amos and Ainsley on the bench we have the option to exploit that tactic by injecting pace into the game when it hurts the most.

I managed to get regular text updates, sounded like maybe we underestimated them first half, but found ourselves at half time and hit them with a couple of decent goals. Whatever, it's a great result on the back of two others at Flackwell and Witham. 9 out of 9, cannot ask for more than that. Top of the league and loving it.

Tomo was great last night, never stopped and chased every ball. First half they never let us settle and were first to every ball, we rode our luck and scored two good goals in the second half.

Thats football.

I am surprised that Potters bar are so low down in the league?

Had a great run in the FA Cup and beat Margate on their own patch.
