Hendon v Urchins - Match Updates

Indeed. Unc says it just wasn't our night. It happens. At 1-1 we had two excellent chances and if (that word "if" again) we had taken those chances they wouldn't have caught us.

We live to fight another day and we knew this league would be difficult.

We lick the wounds and carry on the fight at Carshalton.

Hendon seem to be the form side of the league at the moment.

It seems that this league will be more competitive than most people think(wimbledon & chelmo included!!)

And there could be 12-14 teams going for the play offs come march if these results continue.

Carshalton have lost again and they were strongly fancied pre season so we must turn up saturday and play well.

Our home form is good, although losing to ricay,i think if you asked most hornchurch fans before the season if they could take 3 points out of 6 against chelmo & ricay, most would of probably said yes.

We will always do well at home but most teams will be beaten a few times at least on their travels

Just got back, not a bad side Hendon, very fit and have got some pacey players in their side.

Defensively we were poor tonight, think the turning points were Janney hitting the bar in the first half and Kris Lee missing a sitter from 6 yards, both after good set ups by Simon Parker.

We had plenty of the ball in the 2nd half and it was attack after attack but we couldn't get those goals we needed.

Unlucky Urchins. Hendon is never an easy place to go to and get a result. Looks like they could be dark horses this season.

Indeed some strange results tonight. Both Horsham and Staines are up near the top and lost to sides who are struggling near the bottom.
