i call myself the mentalist.

People like dario gradi are often put down by people like yourself because they are not with big clubs and stay loyal to the clubs they love.

I would love someone like gradi at least involved with the selection of a manager as he has kept crewe in the football league and beyond almost single handedly for the last 20 years.

people like you are mental

Gradi has done wonders with Crewe by continually selling on players for good money, over and above what they are actually worth....

He is not the man to take on the over paid premiership egos, that play for England

he got a very small club promotion time and time again with little known players.Ok,he sold half of that squad on when they went up each time and sometimes they got relegated so he re built the side again.

The only reason he didn't manage at a higher level was because he loved crewe and is not a greedy [****!!****] like most of the people involved in football in this country.

He beat sides above them in cup competitions regularly.

He is as good a manager as many in the premier league

google it find out,but he kept them in the 2nd divison(now championship) for years and considering the size of the club was no mean feat.

dario gradi is a humble man who does not have the qualities that most other england managers seem to have, motivated by money!!!

How many other managers do you know who have a dance act named after them???

Listen, Dario G is a great manager, but he is not the man for England....

ps 3 promotions and 2 relegations.....1989, 1994 and finally in 1997, after victory over Brentford in the Division Two playoff final....the [****!!****] !!!!

Can I make a request?: Before anyone is appointed, can I suggest that the board of the FA resign en masse? They have been responsible for Eriksson and that imbecile who followed him. They are both useless, but they were put there by idiots and without them gone, we'll be stuck with the same old crap.

Then put a foreign player cap on our premiership teams to make them develop local talent for the future. THEN put in a manager of O'Neill or preferable Mourihno's quality who can actually make those overpaid losers listen and play for their country with a modicum of pride, as opposed to them thinking about their next huge paycheck.

Our game is in a mess. Yes, its a great league, but its not an English league is it? Arsenal are a great team, but they are not an English team, they're an international team.

It is time we reviewed the lot, got some pride and passion back and had a man at the helm with quality, guile, expertise and the power to make his decisions final and unquestioned.

One last thing: When Germany go into qualifying there is NEVER a question that they will get there. Why? Because they totally and utterly believe they will. They rarely come unstuck, yet they are rarely the best quality players, or the best paid. They just believe and the bloody well know they will win.

Maybe we could do with some of that.
