ONE POINT THAT INTRIGUES ME IS HOW MANY OF THE 1ST TEAM ARE LOCAL LADS?

This was a general complaint in my time that with so much talent in the area very few played for Windsor

 

Depends what you mean by local.

 

If you are talking purely players from Windsor then there is no one that I can think of, but if you are talking within say 10-15 miles then I would say about 10.

 

Wayne Godwin, Steve Playle, Ian Richards, Robert Gold, Russell Last, Dave Osgood, Will Dunlop, Mark Dreelan all live in Windsor. Then theres local players who lived within 6/7 miles like Kevin Mitchell, Rowan Dodds, Keith White, Devon Petty, Francis Araguez all were good players

Wasn't his real name Richard Mcdowell or something like that.

 

I remember the goal well. It was lashing it down with rain and it was freezing, last minute 0-0 he beat half their team and blasted the ball into the roof of the net. A truly great goal!
