I hear that The League are due to discuss the match back-log later this week.

The League has discussed it and a statement will be issued this week. We would like to extend the season further but the FA will not allow it beyond Sat 4 May, at least for clubs involved in possible promotion from the Premier Division.

Good old sensible FA. Need to get the paperwork sorted so as to not interfere with their summer holidays.

Looks like we could only get in 3 more games this month, leaving 20 in a max of 34 days. Double header Sundays on the cards !

It's not just the FA. Whilst Mitoo might not be entirely accurate, and will not give the 'whole' picture the fact that Guernsey did not play in eight midweeks before the end of October - and I've ignored dates after that because of the weather - probably has something to do with the fixture backlog.

So the CCL must take some responsibility for allowing this to happen - presumably because sides did not want to travel to Guernsey midweek? Not sure how that's the FA's fault?

If they had played one fixture in each of those midweeks, that would mean twelve games in five weeks - therefore two or possibly three weeks, with three games in that week - which would not be 'unusual' for a Non League side who have had a 'Guernsey' style Cup Run!!

If they had not played 9 games in the F.A. Vase, everything in the garden would be Rosy.Have said from day one, that the Guernsey Squad was miles better than CCL,of course with 6 key players missing from the original squad it is harder.COME ON GUERNSEY.

Jumping to the CCL (and GFC) defence, some dates weren't scheduled due to preceding FA Cup or Vase games (ie possible midweek replays).

I am sure that will change next season with more provisional fixtures allocated.
