I was shocked.

Anyone know the reason?

FC Broxbourne Borough have made a shock move in sacking manager Michael Nathan this morning, just over 24 hours before their big FA Vase clash on Saturday.

Nathan guided Boro to promotion to the Spartan League Premier Division last season and signs were positive this season with the club sitting ninth in the table.

However, they will now go into tomorrow's big FA Vase tie at home against Greenhouse Sports without Nathan at the helm after today's developments.

The club's director of football, Graham Dodd, said in a statement: "FC Broxbourne Borough announce that first team manager Micky Nathan has this morning been relieved of his duties. The club is not prepared to make any further comment at this stage."Assistant Frank Piazza and club captain Mark Brennan will take the team for the home FA Vase match on Saturday and the home league game on Tuesday, after which the club will review its options moving forward."

Piazza, who enjoyed a spell as manager of Hoddesdon Town recently, could be one of the favourites to take on the Boro job.

Sounds like ol' Micky's left with a knife in his back, with assistant and skipper Brennan taking control.

I got a lot of time for Mark and Lee Brennan ill have to give one of them a call see what the crack is here.

This move might see a call up for players like Matty Roles and Samson 'The Kingy' King.
