Hi Roy I trust you are not having a dig so will give an honest answer.

Always liked Dave as a player, done well with AJ as centre back pairing last season, glad to have him back on board.

However dont know enough behind the scenes stuff to judge any other way, but dont understand Dave coming & going (3rd time back I believe) or JC's decision to keep letting him back.

Mind you its not the first JC decision not to make sense!

How you doing Roy, all going well?

Moving in the right direction and thanks for asking

If we lost 2-6 at home against Ware. The only direction our management team would be heading in,would be the exit.

But i suppose, you havn't got the worry of the fans getting on your backs.

If you lost 6 - 2 at home JC would still not get the sack LS.

Agree with LS and Gazza. Dave is a good player and a nice guy too. However, I'm not too sure whether it is sensible for a player to come back to the club on 3 occassions. JC has commented in the past that Dave is always after the money so what are the motives on both sides this time?

hope the ex-Town guys do well at Ilford this season. The likes of Roy, Chopper, Sooper Kev, Geordie etc were great servants of our club.

I am a little surprised too. I think Dave Allen's best position is right back. I think Paul Campbell's best position is right back. No question in my mind which of the two should start.

Yes David Allen has had almost as many come backs as Frank Sinatra!

No I always like the Centre Half pairing of David Allen and Al James they worked well together even for EFC & ETFC.

JC must have ate a lot of humble pie to realise his mistake in letting David go and having the bottle to ask him back. Respect to both JC and All Rumours.

Just promise me you won't have the old physio back the new one is a pleasure to the eye bless her!

Why do you say that it was JC who asked him back and not him asking JC if he could come back?

And the pnysio should be the best for the players and not the best to look at! p.s. keep the new one please!

Well David was back and it was a pleasure to see him out there again in a town shirt. Anticipation, pace and great recovery. Shame about some of the final balls but still a great return!

"Why do you say that it was JC who asked him back and not him asking JC if he could come back?"

Just an opinion! I'm probably wrong!
