Bedfont Sports 0 v 2 BGU.

Better team won in the end, but Bethnal were by no means outstanding.Main thing though is they got the job done.First goal was a soft goal as Bedfont should really have cleared that.2nd Goal was much better.Bethnal striker Boateng then should have had another goal with one on one, but Phillips did well to deny him.Bedfont's best chance was in 1st half when Barlow out paced Bethnal right back, but was denied by keeper. Also horrible clash between BGU keeper and Bedfont player, with both going off and some blood shed.

Why did Justin the Gaffa still try to remonstrate with the officials at half time and then the Bedfont manager also telling him to lose some weight .What's the point in that? When he should be giving the team talk. Some other refs may have carded him , but the ref did not have any authority at all during the game.It looked a bad injurt to Bethnal's keeper, but Justin should leave that stuff and concentrate on the team.

TRB - He's a rough diamond from Mile End and that's just his way, if he loses that part of his demeanor he won't be as effective as a Manager, a bit like Wayne Rooney for example as a player, you can't tame or change people like that no matter how hard you try.

It was a tale of missed chances yesterday......bethnel had the second half, but Bedfont had the first half......

When Bridgeman went off with that head wound to go to hospital, Campbell was finally allowed to get into the game, and having had to mark him myself, he knows what he's doing.....was a very good player.

Still Bedfont had 4 good chances in the first half, but didnt take them.....we hit the crossbar (which could have been a penalty as Phelon was then pole axed by the Bethnel keeper), Barlow then scuffed a shot from 6 yards after Saville got down the right wing, and then The keeper made a good one on one stop from barlow.

Second half bethnel made 3 chances and took two.....the second being a well worked goal....but still Bedfont had a half chance when Barrett shot wide from inside the box.

Bethnel have changed alot of personel, and looked a very dangerous side, its just a shame their manager is such a prat......the guy doesnt have the respect of his players, and walks around like the world owes him something.....When the unfortunate incident between Bridgeman and the keeper happened, he was jumping up and down f-ing and blinding saying the Bridgeman went studs up on the keeper, despite the ball being 6 feet in the air, and scott having a 5 inch gash in his head, and a tooth stuck in it.....even then he didnt shut up.......he's just a grade-A prat.

Good luck to Bethnel though in their pursuit if the treble, I thnik that with Hayes United getting the points against Hayes Gate has dealt them a cruel blow tho.

Out of interest, how comes the Hayes Gate Vs Hayes United debarcel was sorted after a week, yet the Deportivo Vs Bethnel case is still unresolved? Is there any league committe members on her that can shed some light?

Jusin the Gaffa did himself no favours on saturday with his behaviour at times. His own players were calling him to give team talk, but he seemed more interested in having it out with the ref and Bedfont manager. Not a good example set by the manager.Justin does seem to see things with BGU tinted glasses. He did the same thing during the Hayes United game also.He seems to see what he wants to see sometimes.Admire the work he's doing and the quality of players he's attracting to BGU,but wish he'd conduct himself in a better manner at times, and not think that the World is gainst him.

Good semi final between Bedfont and Bethnal, the better team won on the day only because they took there chances while Bedfont

missed chance after chance in the first half.

Bedfont controlled the first half and could of easily been four up at half time, missing three one on ones with the keeper and the Bedfont forward then hitting the post and being taken out by the goal keeper which everyone round the ground thought was a penalty except the woefully inept referee. Then the horrendous accident between the Bedfont player and Bethnals keeper, which meant both players being taken to hospital. The change affected Bedfont as the defender was having a blinder of a game in defence and going forward at set plays.2nd half saw Bethnal swing the game in there favour coming out with a more positive attitude and taking the game to Bedfont who seemed to go into a shell and let Bethnal control the game at there own pace.bad marking for the first goal defence stood still as they thought the Bedfont goalkeeper would catch the high ball into the box

probaly his only mistake of the game and Bethnall poked the ball into the net from 1 yard.Bedfont rallied a little but as soon as Bethnal scored the second Bedfont new they could not get back in the game.Final whisle all players shook hands and Bedfont showed

how a defeat should be taken in a sporting manner.Just a pity

that the Bethnal manager and his 5 or 6 supporters standing in front of the dugout could not be more sporting in the first half when Bedfont was on top. despite repeatly being told to stay within the the dugout area he kept racing up and down abusing any one from the referee, linesman,Bedfont players and manager.

Any news on the injury to the Bethnal goalkeeper

As good a side at Bethnal are, I think they are susceptible at left and right back.Left back never looks comfortable on the ball and the right back lacks pace.Barlow outsprinted him easily for the one on one, and Barlow looks a well built guy.Andre Costa caused Bethnal left back no end of problems in 2nd half in hayes United game with pace, plus his skill.BGU will need to watch that infuture I think

I see that Bedfont Sports are playing Indian Gymkhana this evening which is surprising seeing that the Middlesex County League are playing the Reading League, presumably GAFFA1 didn't feel any of their players were good enough for his squad. Is anybody going to Yeading tonight for the eagely awaited FA National League Cup game, kick off 7.30.
