So Guernsey have won CCL1, who's coming 2nd and 3rd?

Most of the top sides won today except Wars crashing to Guernsey and Spelthorne Sports leapfrogging Eversley to go fifth.

Hartley Wintney still unbeaten and would be second if they won their games in hand.

If we win our games in hand we would go top

You need to take both socks off when you're counting HH. You've dropped 6 points, Guernsey only 5 <_<

Yep but they are one of our games in hand if we win all our games in hand they will have dropped 8.

You shouldn't count your game against them as a "game in hand" - win, lose or draw on Saturday you'll still have 6 games in hand. Good luck though - last time HW were in the Channel Islands they came home 2-1 winners and I came home with a sore head :drinkies:

I would prefer to have the points in the bag, really looking forward to the match on Saturday!

Don't expect to get anything from the game we have won every game at home and we haven't let a goal in yet. Many have said they will be the first to beat us when they come over, but it never happens.

We should have Zico Black and Dave Rihoy back as well, I wouldn't like to be your defence. I predict your boys will be going down with cramp all over the park as all other teams do when they visit Fortress Footes Lane !

Team got back at 10.20 this am only delayed 55mins : )

Good news. 55 minutes not bad, considering how thick the fog was yesterday around here.

Thankfully, it's all gone - at least for now

Isn't it funny how Guernsey seems to dominate Non-League conversation..... ?

Not just on here, either.

Although there wern't may speckies at yesterdays Bookham game, most conversations I overheard seemed to centre on the Channel Islanders !

PPG table:

1. Guernsey 2.75

2. Bedfont Sports 2.5

3. Staines Lammas 2.29

4. Hartley Wintney 2.21 (7th)

5. Eversley 2

6. Spelthorne 1.94

7. Warlingham 1.79

8. Westfield 1.72

Everyone in the league can still win the title although Bookham can't if they drop one more point! ;)

By the way, in most leagues 2 points per game is often enough to win the the title so shows what a strong league this is with five teams still at or above that average.

Some good efforts at the top of table but only three sides above 2 ppg now. Some other interesting changes from the last table a month ago shows the teams in good form.

Knaphill, South Kilburn, Farleigh, Bookham and Sheerwater can not be champions this year and the latter two also can't make the top three.

In the points per game played ratio of the top three teams seeking promotion from Division 1 to the Premier Division during the last five seasons, it has never dropped below 2.00 points per game played, the highest being 2.35 and the lowest being 2.02.

Based on the above criteria, teams generally work to a ‘points per game played ratio’ of 2 points and over per game played throughout the season, in order to get into a promotion spot.

To date, 17-01-12, only 4 teams in Division 1 fulfil the criteria.

Guernsey 23 64 2.78

Bedfont Sports 23 57 2.48

Hartley Wintney 21 44 2.09

Eversley 24 48 2.00

The average points total needed for promotion from Division 1 to the Premier Division, based on an analysis of the top 3 teams in the last 5 seasons, is 74 points (2.18).

A more in depth analysis is available on the Guernsey FC Forum website.

Combined Counties Division 1 - Promotion update 15-02-12

Guernsey FC – Played 27 – 73 points, remaining games (6 at home, 1 away), PPG - 2.70, maximum points available – 94 points, current goal difference +89.

Bedfont Sports – Played 25 – 60 points, remaining games (5 at home, 4 away), PPG – 2.40

maximum points available – 87 points, current goal difference +43.

Eversley – Played 26 – 51 points, remaining games (4 at home, 4 away), PPG – 1.96

maximum points available – 75 points, current goal difference +28.

Hartley Wintney – Played 23 – 50 points, remaining games (4 at home, 7 away) PPG – 2.17

maximum points available – 83 points, current goal difference +36.

Warlingham – Played 25 – 50 points, remaining games (5 at home, 4 away) PPG – 2.0

maximum points available – 77 points, current goal difference +25.

Staines Lammas – Played 24 – 45 points, remaining games (5 at home, 5 away) PPG – 1.87

maximum points available – 75 points, current goal difference +21.

Spelthorne Sports – Played 23 – 43 points, remaining games (4 at home, 7 away) PPG – 1.87

maximum points available – 76 points, current goal difference +18.

A further 5 points from any of Guernsey’s remaining 7 games would surpass Eversley

(max 75 points), Staines Lammas (max 75 points) and Spelthorne Sports (max 76 points), Warlingham (max 77 points) irrespective of all future results .

Mathematically, that would only leave Bedfont Sports (max 87 points),

Hartley Wintney (max 83 points) who could overtake Guernsey.

You must take into consideration that it is highly likely any one of them will achieve maximum points by the end of the season, due to the fact that there is only a maximum 3 points available in any match still to be played, where they are playing one another.

Guernsey’s remaining games:

HOME – South Kilburn, CB Hounslow Und, Bookham, Bedfont Sports, Staines Lammas, Spelthorne Sports.

AWAY – Farleigh Rovers.
