Not sure how Andy could address the members meeting recently and say the players looked in very good shape.

Not sure what sort of shape he means but our forwards in the first half last night were in desperate need of slimming  world.

Maybe he see's something I dont.

2 game no goals and underwhelming up front so far.

lack of good wide men  and defence is leaky as well.

doesn’t bode well for a long trip to Manchester

Billy apparently may not be able to commit as his successful buisness is very busy and his family is expanding.

Muleba not available.

Not looking good unless Andy has a surprise up his sleeve.

That should open up opportunities for someone else.

then again gut feeling tells me Bricknell will rock up somewhere else.

disappointing couple of games overall so far  .. but I dont want to be critical ... it's early ...

None of the trialists have looked to me like they will challenge for a starting line up place, a couple of players looked really out of shape, and if Billy isnt going to be around this season then we need a striker urgently .. and not much out wide ..

Perhaps the showcase game shouldnt be that early in pre season? A better performance could attract casual fans to come down again?

And personally would have preferred Josh and Jerry to play the 1st half so we gave it a real go against Spurs .. who to be fair looked far stronger than the previous one we met!

 

I am comforted by a comment from TOTE many years ago that suggested a bad pre season = a good season and vice versa - in that case promotion here we come!
