OPENING DAY FACT

Sun Postal Sports became the first side to hit double figures on the season's opening day since the 20th August 2005, when the Division Two matches of Aston Clinton v Padbury United and Tring Corinthians v Markyate brought about scores of 10-1 and 12-1 respectively.

What a fantastic day for Hobbsy and the boys. Just need to take that team performance through, Ashley Lewis and Jamie Harper were exceptional for me.

Seeing a few other local results made our game just that little more sweet!

Wodson Park on Tuesday for Sun. They tweeted to say they no longer play at Ware. Have they just got their own lights or had them all along but not met other grading issues?

They used to play in the middle of the athletics track, i didn't think they had lights around the pitch, but could be wrong.

Awful start from Crawley yday. Broxbourne are a good side, but their 9 and 8 are top drawer, if u can smother the 8 they will struggle to play but the 9 is strong quick and a good finisher. Dropped down from the conference apparently. We played some good football at times but at the moment I think goals will b our issue. Holidays and weddings will kill us in August.

St Mags I reckon

St Mags won't win anything this year, they were one of the worst sides that i have seen for a long time. I warn the rest of the teams in this league that  they are the wingeist team  I have ever seen seen calling "Ref"  "Ref" every time any body went near them, their number 6 was a disgrace, diving and feining injury and rolling around like a little girl trying to get our player sent off, which he succeeded in the end  by stamping on our players toes then falling over as if he'd been hit, the ref was sadly fooled by his antics, in my opinion number 6 should have been booked for his  diving and sent off, the game does not need this type of tactics and I'm afraid St Mags will get a lot of enemies playing  like this. We did'nt play to our normal standards and i'm sure when we get a few more players back we will be ok.  Football is a funny game.

I would of had the Ampthill number 7 off long before he went....you could see he was a car crash waiting to happen! In fact he could of gone in the first half.

mate.it's a mans game, it was'nt a dirty game, if someone kept diving as if he'd been headbutted rolling around on the floor trying to get you sent off would'nt you be pissed off, i know i would.
