Met Police Bushey 2 - 0 St Margretsbury

 

 

This was one way traffic from kick off, Met Police looked like the South Mids Prem side last night, they had St Mags running all over the place. 2-0 is a better scoreline than what is should of been and im sure whoever else watched this would agree. They had the chance to equalise at 1-0 with a dubious pen but there player shot well over, infact not even sure the ball has landed yet :)

 

 

Well done Met and good luck this season im sure you will be in the South Mids league next season if your ground gets the grading, you are defo not a Herts county Prem side anymore....

Deffo a penalty thou......the fella took a wild swing for the ball and got the players foot instead!

We could've had 3 pens. Plus their second was well offside.

 

Anyway, another nutmeg (against) for my collection this year. Thats 3 in about 90 mins total of football, at least this time he didn't get to the ball the other side wink.gif

 

Met Police were a good side and tried to get it down and play, better end product from their wide players and they could've had a few more I reckon.

I didnt think we would win the game anyway. I thought the best we could get would be a draw as i have said before Bedfont sports are a good team who are looking to get promoted this season and i think they will go up also before yesterdays game Bedfont Sports had won all 4 of their pre-season games beating Hanworth Villa, Uxbridge, Cockfosters and Hampton & Richmond XI and 3 of those teams play at a higher level then them. Hanwell Town played the firsthalf with what i think is there first choice players and at halftime they brought on all their fringe players and trialists Bedfont Sports scored both their goals in the last 10 mins of the game. From what i have seen so far from pre-season i think the best that Hanwell Town can hope for this season is a mid -table finish or maybe a top half of the league finish.

What were London Colney like as I hear they have lost some of the players this season since the new management took over?

 

 

23/7 Bierton 1-2 London Colney FC

 

26/7 Bierton 3-0 Pitstone and Ivinghoe

 

 

 

Very tidy team, their first goal was sublime, a lot of the Bierton players said they were of a similar standard to the Aylesbury United team they played a few weeks before. I didn't see them play last season, so not sure how many players they have kept but some were sporting Harpenden Town bags after the game.
