Hope you all enjoyed your day off yesterday. 

Some shock results in the Prediction League – none more so than up at Bumpkin Park where Dinamo finally eked out a win at the normally impregnable home of The Lord.  And there was another huge surprise as Mick The Bat somehow snuck home against previous top dog Digger The Cat.    I checked with William Hill and a £10 double on that would have enabled us all to retire.

Dinamo’s joy will be tempered by his normal ill-discipline off the park where he gets an official warning for violating rule 5.1 (score not between the teams).  He should probably have copied and pasted from someone other than MikeMike; who also gets a warning!

Luke potters on relentlessly at the top of the Les Walker, while in Div 2, Old Urchin took advantage of The Cat’s slip to rise to the summit.  And I’m not sure what our two young ladies were up to, but Marta “succeeded” in getting the lowest score of the season (a magnificent 1), and Urchin Queen followed this up by “achieving” the heaviest defeat of the season (3-13) to yours truly.   And, finally, the big Adrian-Geezer derby ended in stalemate – which is not surprising as they had essentially identical predictions.

Official warning my a*se. 11/12 numbers were in the lines, that is 91.7% accuracy. The contingency game is used maybe once every three years which makes it a statistical outlier more than 3 standard deviations from the mean and thus inconsequential. (and that will also learn me to use the laptop rather than the phone)

Alternatively, fair enough wrist is firmly slapped. But if you had a word with baby Jago I bet he could recode your Excel so that didn't matter. For a few quid I reckon I could (I'm a professional dontcha know) although I'm more at home with IBM 370 assembler.

I've copied Diamond Geezer as a starting point so any errors are not my fault.
